Truly meaningful data insights with plenty of features to customize one's data analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
User Experience:
Modern and engaging UI that makes building charts and understanding data trends fairly easy.
Functionality:
Great capabilities including, customizing event properties to pinpoint the data analysis, building cohorts to examine select audiences, downloading the data to do deeper dives, and viewing the information in a variety of formats from user funnels to event segmentation charts.
Education:
Due to the large capabilities, you need to educate yourself continuously, but I find their documentation & videos easy and quick to understand.

What do you dislike about the product?
Collaboration:
It's still difficult to collaborate on Amplitude, as multiple users can't edit note tools easily and just overall their notebook feature is weak in terms of having basic MS Word style feature function.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Amplitude, I can identify customer trends, build KPIs, and integrate with tools like Braze to market more effectively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a strong data analysis tool that has a bunch of customizable capabilities yet doesn't overwhelm you because of the modern and easy UI, Amplitude is a great option.
Answer 90% of your product questions at least twice as fast as you would any other way.
What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which I can answer questions, dive in, segment/cohort and share dashboards. This is the primary value proposition for me.
I also love that I can easily show people with little data experience how to use the tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can be quite expensive for really large companies.
I often want to use features that I need to pay extra for.
I often want to use features that I need to pay extra for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving reliable and easy authentication. The primary benefit is that I can answer more questions than ever without having to write SQL or having to wait minutes for a query to run.
Great tool for helping to make great data informed product decisions
What do you like best about the product?
I can quickly create new dashboards or notebooks to help me monitor product feature performance and share insights with stakeholders. Because performance monitoring is part of the team product development lifecycle, we ensure new product features are properly instrumented so that we can easily build the reports we need in Amplitude and validate that event and user data is streaming in correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Changes to schemas can cause disruptions in reporting. Event unions are tedious and force me to think whether its worth the effort to maintain data consistency in my reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What content our users are engaging with with (and aren't) and whether features we are building are performing as we expect them to. It has helped inform us of features that were not performant (and either removed or improved) and where features are performing as expected or better. Amplitude is a great way to review product data and make product decisions informed from data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good analytics requires good instrumentation
My PM data driven tool of choice
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to read while also support formulas and advanced data use cases
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a dislike, more visuals types for the data would be appreciated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too many to list, starting from high level usage, testing new features usage and consumption methods
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool to analyse your product, a must have for any data driven PM
Amplitude's short learning curve makes it easy for teams to get the data they need.
What do you like best about the product?
It's important for our analysts to understand how our data is instrumented. It's very easy to explain how event and user properties work. It's easy to create and share dashboards and the Team feature is a convenient way to help socialize our data findings to different users. Our Amplitude support team has been top-notch. They are responsive and proactive, letting us know of new features we might leverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we need to remove unused events, it would be nice to have more control over filtering and selecting them. We also generate a huge number of dynamically named events, which are difficult to group into static custom events (it would help for custom events to support pattern matching at least for event names).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are better able to stitch user streams from different browsers and devices. This improves insight into our funnels compared to our prior analytics solution. As an administrator, reports about event usage and queries enable me to keep our data schema clean. We love being able to easily drill into user event streams to help answer usability and technical troubleshooting questions. Amplitude's overall ease of use has helped us to pull data from a variety of sources and perform analyses across them to answer more complex business questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look into the APIs to make sure there is one for you. It's easy to set up test projects to help fine-tune your instrumentation and schema. Document your event descriptions and user properties as you go. If you run into a limitation, ask the Amplitude support team questions and suggest new features. They love to hear your feedback.
happy with the product
What do you like best about the product?
the ability to view KPIs, ability to share across boards
What do you dislike about the product?
no alerting configuration available, a lot of duplicated boards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we track experiments
Amplitude is a great tool for quickly understanding real-time data
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how quick and responsive Amplitude is compared to other forms of querying/aggregating data. Usually, it only takes a couple of seconds to create a view of something.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searchability is a little lacking - it's sometimes hard for me to find the correct events to look in to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually use amplitude for querying real-time data. Otherwise, I am using SQL/Snowflake to look at data. Oftentimes, Amplitude is used to diagnose issues and bugs with a feature, and is a quicker method of doing so. It's also easy to share with others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool that software engineers and data scientists can use together.
Easy to use analytics insights tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to seamlessly create charts is a stand out feature for me - lots of powerful presets to use and can easily build off existing charts and dashboards as a springboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the configuration can be unintuitive, hidden away in different menus like when first trying to create a custom event.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude is great getting insights into customer behaviour and identifying patterns that emerge in how they use our software products.
Makes it easy for PMs to quickly explore data, although can use some usability improvements.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to pipe different data into Amplitude and then easily generate reports or dashboards from it lets me be more productive and get data insights faster. I do not need to spend time writing SQL queries. The ability to combine different tables easily through the user interface allows more complex insights to be gained with ease too.
With the data, you can also readily generate complex reports such as retention cohort or funnel analyses. Again, this makes data exploration very easily.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor usability issues that make using Amplitude a chore sometimes. Most of my complaints are around the filters. We can't save and reuse filters. This means that if you have complex filters you want to use across queries, you have to re-create them every single time. Once the filters are set, you cannot edit them and have to reset the filters from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We pipe our own events data into Amplitude Analytics to do our analysis. Amplitude makes it very convenient to do these analysis. This convenience also makes it very simple to do data exploration. I can look from different perspectives very easily without having to spend time to rewrite or modify queries.
