Super Easy and Flexible Product Analytics Platform
What do you like best about the product?
- Very easy to integrate and start using.
- Everything is working flawlessly. There no unexpected behavior on the integration, report creation, or reporting.
- Even in the free edition, the report modules are very rich, flexible, and enough. So if you don't have a lot of data points and just starting with your product, then it's a good go-to product. When you go larger, they also have very strong analytical tools that you can access by moving to the paid plans.

What do you dislike about the product?
- To sign up for the platform, you need to talk with the business development representatives; which is a bummer if you don't have a lot of data points, and you know that the free product will be enough for you.
- Not a dislike but an area to develop can be scheduled reports. The dashboards are amazing, but if we can make Amplitude to send email reports in a weekly/monthly schedule, it would have been amazing.
- This is not a huge deal, but one thing that's missing for free users is the Pathfinder feature. If it would be available in the free plan, it would have been amazing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our side project, we just started using Amplitude for test purposes. The idea behind our usage was to better understand the user behavior in the product, so that we can run tests within the product to improve the usage of our product and deliver more value to our users; where Amplitude helped us a lot in that journey. Also, for non-analytical people, Amplitude is really easy to use; which also allows them to play with data and use it more when making new decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly suggest you not overthink it when implementing. But for sure, implement it via Google Tag Manager for easier management.

Deep dive into user behavior like no other tool
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude's variety of chart types allow for complex analysis. They even have custom formulas for data transformations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data integration can be quite hard. Whenever new events are used instead of old ones, there's no easy way of integrating them easily. You have to make sure you are capturing all the data you need correctly before collecting data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User behaviour problems related to core features:
- Engagement of the feature
- Feature discovery by new users
- Retention of user segements (users who engaged with X feature retain X times more than users who didn't).
- Funnel analysis like main dropoffs in the sign up process.
Also, product analytics related to business goals:
- Revenue of users who engaged with X feature.
- DAU.
- Increase of core users over time.
Product discovery:
- You can go in depth on which specific actions did most of the users do before completing the core action.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you are capturing all of the data you need correctly before submitting it to Amplitude as it's difficult to manage afterwards.
Nice and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create charts and public sharing of dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to copy and paste all charts on a dashboard even if I want to change only one variable on a Dashboard. Dashboards should have variables
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time data monitoring is solved by Amplitude. We as a team look for lots of metrics from our Amplitude dashboards
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start to use it as soon as possible. Amplitude helped us a lot. Since it starts to collect its own data starting earlier is very very important.
Really powerful, immense utility, great analytics tool to analyze any product
What do you like best about the product?
Really use easy to use, and very visually clear
What do you dislike about the product?
Definitely takes a while to get started without cl ear instructions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to see how tests are performing and how users are interacting with our product. We have tracked funnels and determined points of drop off.

Managing dashboards with multiple people across your organization can occasionally be confusing.

- Very easy to create dashboard and to integrate from our rails application
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot backfill data and delete old events with the free plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a Business Intelligence dashboard
Excellent product and support
What do you like best about the product?
Support is exhaustive, above and beyond what I'd expect.
What do you dislike about the product?
Acquisition traffic isn't nearly as intuitive as Google Analytics, or as seamless. You have to build out acquisition channels that take into consideration all the permutations of Google URLs, Facebook URLs, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics -- Amplitude is great, especially for retention analyses and for funnel analyses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to spend time on quality instrumentation.
Analytics, the way you need them
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way that all the latest industry standard ways to analyse user behaviour to inform product direction are supported out of the box.
Cohort retention analysis? Amplitudes got it. Discovering your aha moment? There's a tool for that.
I'm yet to discover something I need to do that amplitude doesn't support. It only takes a small amount of time to learn everything you need to know.

What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately the dashboards have no way (that I can see) to display custom data. So another tool might need to be used to make a complete dashboard for your systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Figuring out how our core users users like to use our product
Figuring out what places in which users get stuck or don't know what to do next.
Figuring out how successful our new features are.

It's quite easy to use and it offers quite a wide range of dashboards and analysis tools. It's also super user friendly and it doesn't require too much tehc knolwedge.

Sometimes it doesn't synch perfectly with the backend, but there are no major differences

Data visualisation, business reporting

It's a great choice if you want to have access to quick analytics and empower your team to build their own dashes.
It is much easier to get charts needed for product analysis but a lot of inconsistencies for utm

I like the set of charts fine tuned for product managers and flexible at the same time

Cross platforms actions are still an issue
