Dropbox for Business

  • July 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is one of the most feature-rich cloud storage platforms, making it incredibly powerful, intuitive, and engaging to use. This section explores some of the most essential Dropbox features from a business point of view.

Dropbox Business customers can use several file sharing features to collaborate more effectively with both colleagues and clients. Link sharing enables users to easily share files up to 2GB in size, while shared folders and groups enable teams within the company to share and collaborate on documents from a single location.

Another component of the platform’s file-sharing framework we like is the ability to control permissions at all levels, from entire drives to folders to individual files. File owners can choose whether the recipient has view-only access or full editing privileges.

These features combined make it straightforward for businesses to work effectively online and share data and documents quickly and stress-free.
What do you dislike about the product?

Store files and collaborate seamlessly

  • July 28, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy and very fast. You can upload your files to your drive in a straightforward fashion. You can browse for your file or drag and drop it into the window, and Dropbox will do the rest for you. Files that you upload to your Dropbox storage will remain there forever, so you don't have to worry about ever losing them due to inactivity whatsoever. Dropbox is very secure, and by default, all your files are private. You can, however, share them with your coworkers seamlessly if you have their email address or by generating a link using which they can download the files. What I love about Dropbox is that although I primarily use it on my computer, I can use it on any device too. It is cross-platform and allows file transfer and data syncing between all of its supported devices. You can move your files from your phone to your computer and vice versa. It's a fantastic software for collaboration as it permits you to edit documents and create presentations through Dropbox Paper, which is one of its best features. You can simultaneously work on documents with other users and manage all of your projects in a streamlined manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is excellent, and I don't dislike anything about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox acts as a virtual hard drive for me. It allows me to share files seamlessly with my team, making it easier for us to work from home and collaborate. For any projects and assignments that we work on, we rely on Dropbox very much as it allows us to edit source codes and documents with vital company data in a very secure manner. Every day, we back up all our files and updated them on the cloud so that when needed, another person can download and use them for reference or contribute their role in our projects. Dropbox can be integrated with Zoom and Slack, two of the software that we use daily for communication and task management. With the integration being possible, it allows us to manage all the tasks and necessary tools collectively in a single window. The most significant benefit of Dropbox is that when you edit and make changes to documents on the cloud, you can save each revision. So, if you need to undo all or some of the changes, you can revert to a previously made revision quite easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is a very important software that I would recommend for use if you require cloud storage services and also for collaboration. Even outside of professional use, it's still excellent for moving files between devices. It's much faster than USB transfer and bluetooth, and offers more space than the limits of email attachments.

Must-have if working with large files remotely.

What do you like best about the product?
Since Dropbox has been helping me for a long time, it has been an excellent provider of cloud storage services. During the early years of Dropbox, I used it less frequently. However, as I became more aware of its security features and effectiveness, my usage increased significantly. It has been an invaluable feature to be able to securely email data regardless of file size. Similar to the desktop app, the mobile app provides quick access to all the most essential information. If you regularly share large project files and collaborate with others, DropBox is the best option for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most notable shortcoming of Dropbox is the absence of an office suite. While this may not seem like a concern, it is essential to take into account if one intends to integrate the entire workflow with Dropbox. Google Drive appears to have the advantage over Dropbox only in its office suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox's ability to send files of any size has allowed me to make efficient use of it. As a tool for collaboration, Dropbox is also beneficial. Cloud collaboration has become delightful rather than frustrating due to its simple-to-use, accessible interface.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
According to my experience, Dropbox is a great storage software for both businesses and individuals. In addition, consumers can gain tremendous value from it, as it offers outstanding value propositions.

What do you like best about the product?
we can access files(documents photos and videos etc.) form anywhere in the world Using our gmail account. The best part of this software is we can share our work with other by creating links for them. It's has a paid version name as FAMILY PLAN which allow 6 users to use one dropbox account with 2000 gb storage which is sufficient enough for any department in an organization to upload its work and share with other team members. It has simple user interface which is very easy to use even by rookies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Small storage of 2 gb is available in the free version which I think is very less as atleast they should have provide upto 5gb. Picture and videos takes time in buffering while playing online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this software while hiring freshers in our organization. They upload their work on dropbox, and it becomes effortless for us to access it. We can create folders with a specific name for the perfect management of our data. We use this software to share data with our clients for presentation and demo purposes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Whoever has made a small portfolio and wants to upload it on the internet without showing it to others, I highly recommend this software to them.

No better way to save and share files.

What do you like best about the product?
File sharing is the aspect of my Dropbox experience , which I cherish the most. Using a web link, I am allowed to conveniently share files with anyone, regardless of size or format. It doesn't matter if they are fellow Dropbox users like myself or non-Dropbox users.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I am completely satisfied with Dropbox. Not only does it provide me with a distinct file sharing experience, it is also secured and usable across devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has made my department more synchronized and productive, in terms of how we are able to organize team files securely and make it accessible for everybody, from their individual locations. I think the biggest benefit of Dropbox for me is the ability to share files with anyone, without necessarily giving them access to the entirety of my Dropbox account.

The one place to save important files, articles & books access from any device at convenience

  • July 27, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of saving from anywhere and accessing on any device later. While I get an important article during browsing or in email, but cant jump to read it; I save it in Dropbox. Later, I usually read it on my kindle fire. I simply save my important presentations in Dropbox after working on my desktop and easily access it in my other devices for presentation. Edits always get synched. The desktop app is icing on the cake. Just pick and drop your file there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not know really what I don't like on Dropbox. I prefer it over my Google workspace Drive and window 365 Business One drive. There is enough space still available in my Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am operating on multiple devices. While I want my priority content in one place, I don't want to limit my access to just one device. Dropbox really helps me to solve this contrary preference.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to access and share all your content seamlessly, this is the platform. With the desktop app, it is super convenient to automatically update the content. It is very handy to add books while you browse on desktop or mobile. Later read it on tablet or kindle fire. The user experience is very good. Highly recommended.

Very Helpful

What do you like best about the product?
High marks for Dropbox Professional offering a free tier, although 2GB of cloud storage space isn't much. However, you can certainly try out the service for free forever, which is something a lot of rivals won't allow. This can even be expanded somewhat through referrals of other people to Dropbox, with the understanding that you'll miss out on some of the more advanced features offered by the service, such as offline folder access when mobile.

The pricing plan for an individual is $19.99/£14.09 a month for 3TB of space- you can save a bit if you pay annually. There is also a 5TB of space for three users for $45/£31.72. For even more complex needs there is the Advanced plan with unlimited storage, tiered admin roles, and granular sharing permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox Professional isn't dislike able. Dropbox Professional is at the top at what it does. While it lacks the online office suite capabilities of Google Drive, and the tight iOS and macOS integration of iCloud, it excels when you need to sync files and folders between devices running different operating systems. In short, Dropbox Professional is just about the best in the business – and has been for a while, which is why OneDrive and iCloud have been playing catch up for too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Dropbox installed on Windows or macOS, everything is then put into your designated Dropbox folder to get synced with the cloud. While this function is common currently as Windows and macOS can do this natively now after following Dropbox's lead, but realize that Dropbox was one of the initial apps to enable this. Despite new competitors, it remains one of the best in the business.

A limitation of DropBox is that you can't include network drives or external drives in your Dropbox. However, you can certainly select which files and folders are synced to which device, choosing to keep files only in the cloud which saves space on your hard drive. The mobile apps are top notch as well, which can back up photos and videos taken with your phone as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We can create two types of account into dropbox that are Professional and Business Standard, which increased storage space officially for customers, which allows to save and host the most important files. The Professional account holders of dropbox will get a 2, 000 GB (2 TB ) of storage and shared space, whereas the Business Standard teams account will get a 3, 000 GB (3 TB ) of storage and shared space, which help the business to simplify their task easily.

Dropbox is a great way to share files.

  • July 26, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox makes it very easy to share files. You can give people access or send them a specific file. Even before the pandemic, we needed a way to share and store files. After the pandemic, that need was even greater. Dropbox helps let us share files and documents while we are in the office or working remotely. It updates live so as soon as you add something other people who have access to that file will also be able to see and use it as soon as it has been uploaded.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox has a limit on the space unless you upgrade. Other than that, Dropbox is great. It allows for simultaneous working so two or more people can be working on the same document at the same time, but sometimes this makes the program move slowly or not pick up and save all of the edits. It can also take a little longer to load sometimes which is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Even before the pandemic, we needed a program that could store files and allow us to share them. After the pandemic, this need grew. We use Dropbox to share files and also to store files so that everyone in the company can have access to them. Dropbox has been very helpful with this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Dropbox is a very useful program. It is widely used which makes it easier to use with people who are not employees of our company. Each employee can have their own folders and then there can be some that are shared.

The ability to share files and folders with those that do not use Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?

Storage size on certain devices kept me from saving files, Dropbox solved that. When I first began to use DropBox, it solved my issue of accessing my files from any location. I have been using DropBox for over 13 years!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have been using DropBox for over 13 years and the benefits out weight the monthly cost. It keeps my files secure and accessible from any device.
