Does the job but have had better file sharing apps
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly easy to create an account and they give you free storage. Good for personal files storage of a low amount. Good for business accounts that you are not personally paying for because then you can have much more storage available. I like that you can direct download a file to your computer that is a shared file. However, I wish they had in app editing capability like Google Drive does so you do not have to download then reupload every time you want to share changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I ran out of space very quickly and the site is not intuitive at all. Had syncing problems with my drive and could not navigate the site well. It's confusing to find a specific file unless you have the direct link to the file. I did not put many files in my personal dropbox and it still sends me notifications that my storage is almost gone even though I only have about 10 documents in there. It does not sync with my Mac and keeps trying to sync my entire library with Dropbox instead of the specific files that I put in there. I much prefer Google Drive for storage and sharing of files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me quickly open files that have been shared with me, I can use it to back things up or share with friends. I can direct download things that need to be shared with my whole company and keep them as personal files on my computer

Eight years user, never switching!
What do you like best about the product?
I like best that I can access it from anywhere -- all of my devices, or any web browser -- and that I can so easily choose which folders I need to see on which device.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a simpler "one-click download" link option for sharing files with others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a professional photographer and we photographers deal in a LOT of files. While I use web-based gallery hosting for delivering image to clients, I still like to keep all files myself in an organized way and for years. Dropbox has been a total solution for my photography business. I use it to store and archive client files, I use it to store and easily access select portfolio images for social media and web use, and I use it for all the other administrative file storage needs for my business. I have two computers (an iMac desktop and PC laptop) and two mobile devices (a phone and a tablet) and I love that I am able to work from Dropbox seamlessly from all these devices via the Dropbox apps for the various operating systems, and that I have the option to access certain folders while offline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is so worth the low-investment to have the peace of mind that Dropbox has all my files and I can access them easily any time.
Dropbox simplifies file sharing and usage on a professional level!!
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox allowed me to take photographs at any location and they were seamlessly placed into my "Dropbox" for retrieval, processing, storage, deletion and a host of other available tasks, such as sharing and presenting. The ease of use and well thought out seamless intregation into any work environment made using Dropbox both a pleasure and productive use of time and resources. Highly recommend. Small learning curve with great Help and Support and many available User Forums and Chats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when integrating a new device, Dropbox would default to autosaving all photos when only those previously specified should have auto-saved. This issue may have been resolved as it has not recently occurred despite almost daily usage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has solved getting multiple locations and file types into one centralized arena to work from a central hub or any satellite location.
Good, but it's no Google Drive
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can upload new versions of files and have the links stay the same, and that Dropbox is known widely as the default so that there is usually less to explain to clients. Its a useful tool for sending files, especially bigger work files, to people you are working with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop client is really not good and makes things incredibly complicated. I wish there was a way where it didnt completely integrate into your system and you could just use it separately for uploading and downloading. Different levels of integration would be helpful. I also don't like that you can't put normal symbols in folder names. File names I understand, but folder names it makes no sense. Also, I wish that I could move a folder somewhere else from within the folder, rather than having to go to the folder its contained in to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to get files to other people easily, and able to organize in a helpful way.For a company that works mostly remotely, this is a helpful way to have a mutual server of files.
My Dropbox Review
What do you like best about the product?
Far more simple than an SFTP transfer when working with vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much I dislike. Maybe an extra layer of security like a code texted to me would be good?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File transfers to a few third-party vendors. Nice not to need a specific login for each vendor like I do when transferring via SFTP. All of them are in a single spot to choose from.
Great document storage for smaller businesses
What do you like best about the product?
It functions as a folder system exactly as your computer's built-in folder structure. Because it integrates with your system, retrieving files and moving items within those files is simple and typical the the manner of any document stored on your hard drive. I like that everything was accessable to everyone in the firm rather than hiding on someone's desktop. It's easy to use and easy to navigate, especially for older users who are familiar with Windows/PC file structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
We reached a number of documents that made the folder system slightly untenable. When we originally had one attorney or even two attorneys and two assistants, the amount of data stored was low and the system was easily navigated. Our firm grew to four attorneys and three assistants with hundreds of thousands of documents and at a certain point, the folder system became difficult. We have since switched to a cloud-based legal repository system to allow storage of larger quantities of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When our firm was smaller, Dropbox was a great way to store files in a way familiar to any skill level of user, that allowed accessability for everyone in the firm.
Easy access to files across multiple devices
What do you like best about the product?
Sync across multiple devices large files, even when files are quite large such as images, videos, music, or audio, Dropbox can handle it all without any issues
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it syncs too many files from the cloud to the machine, using up all the storage on the local disk. It would be better if they had clearer prompts asking if we want to switch rarely used, large files to online only. Also, a cleanup tool would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to business files across multiple devices, faster productivity, and knowing where to find them. There are lots of data storage services out there, but Dropbox seems to be the easiest to use.
Drop box’s works perfect for my company
What do you like best about the product?
I like that anyone can use it, I have my sales team upload all their daily info into it and I can check it through out the day or at the end of the day. They're they're missing something it's easy for me to see and pick up on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything in particular that I dislike about Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of sending texts back and forth, drop box has created an area that I can keep my work lift separately from everyday lift. I have all my sales members upload to drop box instead of sending me their pictures of daily work to my phone, it's created a less stress environment for me and my employees
Dropbox is essential as a classroom teacher!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user friendly Dropbox is! My photos automatically upload and I can easily share them with my colleagues at school. The editing tools are easy to use and the Dropbox app works very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing I dislike about Dropbox. It has ample storage for my pictures, it works quickly and effectively. I can easily share pictures with the other teachers at my school.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it incredibly easy to share photos at work. As teachers we do so many fun and interesting things throughout the year and then put together a slideshow. Dropbox really helps us put it all together.
Best cloud experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of uploading and managing data is the most remarkable feature of Dropbox. Moreover, one can easily access data from any device from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The services are extremely good, however, Dropbox can work on reducing the prices to make it affordable for all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One can easily access data from any device from anywhere, therefore no need to carry the hard disk or laptop. We can travel without such devices as Dropbox is a reliable and user friendly cloud.
