Great for file storage and easy file sharing

  • July 20, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
I love accessing my files saved in dropbox from anywhere and not being tied to my computer. I also appreciate having smart sync to select what from Dropbox gets saved to my laptop. Another feature that I found very useful is being able to restore files that accidentally get deleted. It has saved me some grief.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate having to log out from one account to access a file shared with me using another email account. I have to remember under what Dropbox accounts specific files are shared, then download the files and upload them into my main account so that I have what I need in one main place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to store and organize years' worth of projects safely with Dropbox. It has also been beneficial when needing to pull up an old file to share with a client and even allowing them to share files with us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's an excellent tool for storing files and being able to access them from virtually anywhere. It's simple, easy to use without extras.

Okay product, but there are better options

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a stable application, it provides plenty of storage, and Dropbox added file collaboration, which was a significant consideration for me to continue using. You can use a web browser to access your files, and you can install the desktop client and access your files through the file manager, making it assimilate more into your regular workflow. When you have a file open without collaboration, an icon pops up that should notify you if other users are currently editing that file.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage size is smaller than its competitors at 2GB. It may be a personal preference, but I prefer Google Drive's file collaboration. I also have issues with Dropbox dropping its sync connection on my desktop, causing conflicting copies of files, and not updating other users with the most recent information. I have to restart Dropbox perhaps once a month or so. I also feel like more users outside of my organization are familiar with Google products, especially customers who may not use products like this for personal day-to-day use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a standard encrypted, file-sharing storage solution with file collaboration. We utilize it to share files and to back up and store documents.

Have used Dropbox since University and the Business version fills every need

  • July 20, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Seamless integration across the entire company, can access on PC or cloud-based. The smart sync features have reduced the amount of support needed on selective sync, and we always know everyone has access to the files they need at any time. As well, using Dropbox to share private, large, files with customers and other stakeholders is huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
The live collaboration tools built for MS Office 365 are pretty terrible to the point where I never use them and purely use Google Apps for realtime collaboration, along with the rest of the company. Recently the Dropbox Office add ons have been causing Office to crash as well. Finally, Dropbox needs to focus more on those features and not these random experiments like Paper and Hello.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now more than ever with remote teams, everyone in the company needs access to up-to-date documentation, presentations, contracts, etc. Dropbox is the home for all of our documents, and it is an expectation here that employees back everything up. Backing up and reversions are also heavily used; we have never had an employee "lose" a document and have helped employees recover past versions on several occasions, saving a ton of time.

Great and Easy to Use

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to share cloud links to photos to our clients. Adding many attachments to an email will cause it to go to client's junk mails and is harder to view overall. This makes it so much easier for the client and me
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many downsides that I have run into. Overall great program!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems I have solved is over cluttering our computer servers but have some things on the cloud instead. Also, being able to send cloud links resolved emails going into spam for numerous attachments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you send multiple attachments and photos/pictures to clients, this will be the best platform to have your team work more efficiently.

One of the best sharing file online that i ever use before, VERY RECOMMENDED

What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of having every one of the reports and photographs initially and open, and arranged in organizers, just as having the option to partake continuously with other associates. Additionally having the alternative to review the phoots in thumbnails without opening every one to look is exceptionally useful and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Google Drive's work area application refreshes are frequently awkward and require rebooting my PC on various occasions. The updates regularly come at badly designed occasions, abruptly, and Google Drive is unusable except if you complete the fundamental update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to share records and work together with off-site sellers, we likewise use Google Drive to share enormous documents and docs

We can guarantee reports are forward-thinking and incorporate the latest updates and changes which is exceptionally advantageous for a group with loads of moving parts and documents that need amendment and update consistency

Storage solution for accessing files anywhere, anytime.

  • July 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is that it's one of the first storage systems you can use everywhere every time. A must-have app for those who hate storing things in a physical container such as a flask disk. Since dropbox is available in such versatile operating systems, we can access the files we store almost instantly in various gadgets we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little thing that I dislike is that we need to wait to download or upload a bit longer, especially if our internet connection is unstable. And often, I find the upload and download is slower than similar storage app; Another thing is that the limit for free storage is small. You can barely save several videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since I use the app to share files with my team, it is convenient and easy to use in many operating systems. Mostly we can get files more accessible without having to send emails and attached them in parts.

Easy Peasy File Sharing

  • July 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Multiple files are a breeze to upload and share with team members. Gone are the days when I have to get a flash drive and give each team member a USB Flash drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not super user-friendly, lacks the collaboration function that we need, it's a challenge to drag files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share multiple files and segregate them in folder, this works really well when I'm sharing multiple files such as statements and I can just invite users to access it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a must when you need to share multiple files.

Inane customer service

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has no redeeming features or use. There are much better alternatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox has stolen my files and my money: I can't access my files because I no longer have access to my old email account, yet I can prove that the account belongs to me and I have proof of payment and proof that I did indeed own the email I used to set up the account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ZERO. NONE. It is a worthless company.

The Mobile Harddrive you and your team can access

  • July 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What's not to love about this platform? You can set up permissions and access coordinate teams. Keep everyone and sync and work on multiple projects while on your phone tablet or computer. Easy access so no matter where you are everyone can pitch in and collaborate. It's also quite handy when going over a presentation on the go, long as you have the app or access to the internet you can check up on the finer points and be prepared with a capital P. It's great I honestly have seen Dropbox evolve over the years and the features that have been added on are on point. It's easy to keep multiple documents even case-sensitive ones without the worry of being hacked. Its safety is amazing and its design is outstanding, keeps things fresh, creative, and overall simple. Very easy to use and you can start, store and even create documents. Accepts a list of formats and is very intuitive. It's a must-have app when working with small to medium-sized teams (even large) since it lets you have your documents in a simple easy to use app.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing that might get a little expensive and tedious would probably be the price range, the app is definitely worth it but if you start adding a lot of team members into the pro version I could see it getting pricey. Overall if you make a select team focused on marketing, IT, or even CS so long as they are using and sharing files constantly the price makes up for the time you are making back on minuscule tasks, that adds up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing and updating documents among peers, overall it's amazingly efficient and easy to use. The time of deployment is really short and it's well worth the time lost doing basic tasks when dealing with a pile ( metaphorically) of documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look into all the features, especially when paying for it there's plenty of extras that just make things really simple.

Dropbox was critical to my master's program success for storing and sharing files with my lead

  • July 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Files are accessible for everyone it's shared with. It's simple to use and helps tremendously for students. I love having folders and a real organization system. We used this religiously for my master's culminating project to ensure that everything was stored safely and organized in an to date capacity.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limits to storage, but it takes a bit to hit it. And there are abilities to obtain more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing documents in other locations is difficult. Having everything compiled into one place within different sub-folders is too helpful. Not to mention, it alerts others when things have been edited and everything can be seen quickly when something is uploaded by date and time.
