Great way to collaborate with your colleagues and share documents

  • May 24, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can easily share documents with my colleagues in our shared folders. I also have the ability to make a personal document that I only see, but save it onto DropBox so if I need to work on it from a different computer, then the document is still in the same folder. I don't need to worry about sending it to myself or saving it on a flash drive first.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as elegant to use when using the online version. I like having the software on my computer as all the files are easy to open and make edits to. Using the online version, I can't make any changes directly to the document unless I get the online version. Even then, there's a process where I either need to open the document in another window or download it, then make changes, and then upload it again. The online version is not as great as the regular one since it doesn't have different view options for track changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, document sharing, document tracking. DropBox is easy for my team and I to use. It's not significantly different than creating and saving a personal document. All we really need to do is remember to save it in the correct file (DropBox) instead of other locations (like Documents folder)

Dropbox review

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Dropbox is that You can store your files and data and can access it across multiple devices. So do not have to depend on a physical device to transfer your data or files.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Dropbox is that it is a bit costly. You need to pay for the space you use and select a plan according to your needs. There is no basic free plan for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Dropbox is solving is that it removes the dependancy on physical devices. You can access your data anywhere with just an application installed. You can also store large files and data and access them on any other device. Dropbox also helps with backups of your images and files on your device and helps to manage these backups folder-wise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need virtual storage and need your files to be accessible from any device you should go for dropbox. It is very handy and easy to use.

Still our preferred choice for team cloud storage and sharing.

What do you like best about the product?
Even though there are lots of choice for cloud storage, free or paid for our business use Dropbox still offers us the best mix of ease of use, integration, sharing, presentation features and price. We use a lot of differnt apps and all of them integrate with Dropbox. The same may be said for Gdrive but even though we use other paid Google services we still run with Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service sucks. For paid service I'd expect live support but no... its the dreaded community or email. The same can be said for Google too so I guess they are equally bad at support. Thankfully there aren't many support issues and usualy whent there are the solution is.... you need to upgrade your plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing, securing and monitoring file access with Dropbox is still the best. We also use Trello, Slack, Filestage which integrate directy. Dropbox Paper which is included with our subscription is a fast and easy way to share content with our clients. it allows me to update on the fly and the next time my clients check in or share it is alwasy with the latest version or our portfolio.

Great Product

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can easily take pictures or film with your mobile devices (like a smart phone or tablet) and once the you've downloaded the Dropbox app, you can upload those photos or videos to your computer and access them, even share files. You can also share them with co-workers. We've use them before on projects and it's easy to send things back and forth. And you can easily organize the photos, videos, files, etc. into folders and share them with whomever you need to. Also, you don't have to signed into VPN, but if you're using a business login, you'll have to use that login for both the app on your mobile device and on your PC or laptop.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really to dislike. Just have to have access and share the folder(s) to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to share images, videos, and files with co-workers. We use it to share the products, especially when we do a lot of customization for our customers. Our graphics design send use files and we tests them and send images and videos back for her to make changes as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to share photos, videos, files, etc., amongst your team. And you can organize those files into folders. Also very easy to share between your mobile devices (like smart phone and tablets) to your laptop or PC. I would just take a picture for my graphic designer co-worker after she sends me files to make customizations and she'll just login and make adjustments as needed.

Great tool, supports other productivity tools

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been around for a while, and it's a friendly productivity tool. It's perfect for sharing documents and also collaboration among team members due to their collaborative online editing feature, and also provides tools such as word and excel (online versions).
Their policies and privacy features are ok, and Dropbox provides an option to disable downloads (only available with a business version).
The storage capacity is relatively low (at least for new users), but dropbox gives the chance to increase the storage if you invite your friends to join Dropbox and they actually signup.
Also, you can attach another account (you can have a personal and work account at the same time) and switch between them without logging out the current one.
What do you dislike about the product?
The disable downloads feature is only available with the business version. And there's always room for Microsoft documents' improvements and also support for more apps integrations. The storage capacity is relatively low (at least for new users) but that is mainly for all storage applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing documents and collaboration is a plus! Some apps such as Evernote and scanners support direct uploads making easy to gather information. If you use lot of devices you can edit or upload documents from anywhere and they will sync with all your devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Storage capacity is relatively low (at least for new users), but dropbox provides the chance to increase for free sharing with friends, and if they sign up, you get more for free.
Also, think about the support dropbox provides to connect with other apps.
Aso you can switch from one and other account (you can have a personal and work account) without logging out the current one.
Like most of storage services, it provides a pc app to download and sync your files in the cloud in your computer.

Great tool for Cloud Storage

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DropBox is a great tool for Cloud Storage. Just like Google drive, we can upload our images, videos, and other Data on DropBox. DropBox is a cross platform app that we can access anywhere be it our Desktop, Mobile phone, or tablet. All the data that we have uploaded would be easily accessible to all of the devices if logon with the same account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although, dropbox is a great tool but it is somewhat expensive. Unlike Google drive, it costs us. Google drive provided 15 GB of free space to every user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving my storage problems with Dropbox. it provided additional space other than my mobile device and is easily accessible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, you can use dropbox but it comes with a cost.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, drag and drop function, upload and download any type of file, and can share files to other with authority. We can also create folders to group the shared files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Small storage (only 2 Gigabytes) for free account while other platform can give you more than 50 Gigabytes for free. Disorganized folders for shared folder by other user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When you need some files to be shared quickly, Dropbox is the fastest way to use. We can drag the files to dropbox and send the link easily. Some files cannot be send by e-mail so we can upload the file to Dropbox and send the Dropbox link to e-mail. Other time, we can link Dropbox folder on multiple desktop so we can sync the files for one desktop to other desktop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For those who needs easy and fast file sharing, Dropbox can be used for personal or business purposes

The standard for a price

  • May 13, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has all the functionality I'm looking for - works on all my devices, syncs everything, plenty of storage when you subscribe.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every year they try to raise the price of the subscription. I was perfectly satisfied with the product at the price I paid for it. The next year, they tried to double the price. I'm just not going to pay double the yearly rate for something just because I have it. When my yearly rate is $59, try going to $65 or $69, not $119. That's too big a leap, and it means I need to see if I can live without it (which I'm finding out I can).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to move, share and exchange large files with all of my clients, team and vendors. Works beautifully with my devices. It's a very good product. I use it for transmitting creative files, writing, and music files, which often take up way more space than I could transmit over e-mail. Dropbox makes it easy to transfer these files to anyone, and keep my Dropbox folders in sync across all of my devices.
