Efficient and Effective

  • April 05, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is user-friendly and allows my team to share files easily. The desktop application helps with file management and provides some offline use, but the sync with computer files function is where dropbox truly shines! We can switch between local files and Dropbox files and never feel like we missed a beat. The integration with computer files is seamless and reads the same as local files, meaning we don't have to learn a different software for file-sharing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the desktop app/files function is slow to sync, causing a brief pause in file-sharing abilities. This issue does not happen often and typically resolves itself in a few moments. Overall, Dropbox is satisfactory for our team's needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team and I can share files quickly and efficiently. We utilize other file-sharing techniques, but Dropbox is by far the easiest and most effective. We no longer have to wait for long times or use multi-step processes for file-sharing. The user-friendly design makes it so that my team does not have to learn how to use new software but instead feels as though Dropbox is simply an addition to their local files on their computer. If we had to be on a website or learn a new system, it might reduce productivity, which would be counteractive to our teams goal.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it is very helpful for me to store my data such as photos, prints, files of different formats, scans, and much more.
so I can access these files from anywhere outside my office.
What do you dislike about the product?
hmm, there is one thing that I dislike which is the limited memory space for free users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
whenever I need my files when I haven't access to my laptop or data traveling device I just open my account at google and tacking my files from it.
for example, I recently tour outside of the city, and in rush, I just forget my laptop so I became very confused and worried about the files that i needed but thank god I suddenly had an idea that I could tack it from the dropbox. so this is a problem that was solved from this app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is a good app for storing your data and files very easily and you can access your files from anywhere in the world.

Exceptional and versatile hosting service

  • April 02, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
As a file hosting service, Dropbox is a helpful option for my education company. Its cloud storage and file synchronization is its big asset, helping our workplace to reduce time and effort when sharing documents
What do you dislike about the product?
The things I don't like about this service are related to data restoration and deletion. In general, it is not clear how the provider assesses clients' demands in a proper manner
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps me organize class instructors' assignments and lesson plans. I also use it as a recording platform for my students every semester. Thanks to its integration into our educational platform system, I can keep track of course due dates
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My likelihood to recommend Dropbox for novice users is that It is great for organizing and labeling multiple files. However, they must consider that there are not a lot of advanced tools besides cloud synch and storage.

Dropbox Review

  • March 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that Dropbox acts as an online storage through which you can upload files to be able to access them at any time or to share them. It has a very friendly UI and it has hassle free methods to upload files and create folders. Whether you're using it on browser or on desktop, you can simply drag your file and drop to upload it. I like that I can use Dropbox on any device and this also acts as a way of copying files from one device to another. Dropbox is free to use and you get 2GB of storage without needing to sign up for a free trial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox doesn't allow me to organize folders in a customized manner. By default all folders are sorted in ascending or descending order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox every day to share and receive files from colleagues while working from home. It's faster than email attachments and allows me to easily download larger files. Dropbox allows files to be shared easily either through a downloadable URL or by allowing viewing and editing access to specific users by inviting them via email. For working from home and online collaboration, Dropbox is an essential tool and helps us immensely while we work on projects. Furthermore, Dropbox allows you to create documents that multiple users can work on at a time through Dropbox Paper, which is one of the best tools offered by the software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Dropbox as it's free and has no drawbacks in usage. It's by far the most secure form of online storage available.

Dropbox Personal and Business seamless use

  • March 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been a very easy and seamless product to use to save and share files across devices and communities. I have found that the personal dropbox size of 2GB is sufficient for every day use at home, but the Business version is the most effective. There are no bandwidth or size limitations, but it does come at a cost. If you are sharing files, I wold recommend Dropbox over google drive. The reason being is that with Google drive, you lose some of the functionality of office products like word or excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about dropbox is that when you hit your capacity limit, it's hard to find large files to delete from the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am sharing documents across various software platforms (Windows, Mac, Android and Apple devices) with no issues. You can pick up where you left off on any device and anywhere in the world. I can share folders within dropbox with certain user privileges, so you have some control over it. Also, the notifications has been really helpful of when a file has been saved or changed.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Dropbox's integration within both my Mac and desktop PC computers. We use it daily in our real estate business and it is worth the annual membership. Dropbox is so easy to use and it's direct integration with both PC's and Mac computers is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is integrated on both PC and Mac so myself and my team don't have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a realtor, we store all of our listing photos in Dropbox so that we have quick and easy access to them across multiple platforms and locations. This has made life so much easier and transferable!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is a super user friendly platform and I like the integration that it has on both my Apple and Windows based computers.

Dropbox Review

  • March 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is free and easy. It has a good and understandable UI. It can be used through browser and allows you to navigate through your folders easily. Each folder or file can be allowed to be viewed or edited by anyone you invite through email. Until then, all your files are secure and only available to you. It integrates with Google quite well, allowing you to login using your Google account and sends email alerts if and when needed. You get plenty of storage that can be further expanded by upgrading your account. You can share files with a URL if the person you're trying to work with does not have a Dropbox account. In addition you can use Dropbox as a medium of transferring of files between your PC and mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far no dislikes, but there's some room for improvement such as being able to view different file formats and presentations on the web.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox mainly to transfer and receive files from my colleagues for work. While working from home, Dropbox solves a lot of issues with communication as being able to send files to one another and having us go through them at our own pace is a much more convenient option than screen sharing that takes up everyone's time equally for fixing trivial issues in coding. Dropbox has several features one of which is Dropbox Tools using which you can collaborate with other people to create documents and presentation files. It allows simultaneous editing and provides an access log where you can keep track of all the changes made as well as by whom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Dropbox as it's free to use with up to 2GB of storage. You can easily get up to 2TB more of space through affordable subscription plans with more discounts for annual plans. You get secure storage and safe means of sharing your data.

Drop is good like the application but needs more funtions

  • March 19, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an easy platform to store files. I have used it in my master's program and I have collaborated with some of my colleagues on the platform. The view is easy and intuitive. We have also the ability to view files online. I am also able to share files privately and public sharing, however, I would like a CAD system integrated into the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would really appreciate it if they integrated a CAD system. I use a lot of cad files and it would be nice to view files on the platform without downloading the files. DXF & DWG files are standard 2D engineering files, so dropbox should be easily visible on the platform. It also has a non-intuitive way of making the files private which is a bit worrying if some accidentally get my link. I am sure there is a way to make files private but it is hard to find it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application was used to share materials between students when we collaborated together. The material we had was easily shared with anyone who had the link. I also use dropbox for my business. This is where I keep my companies business and legal documents in a well-ogranised way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I am an engineer so I'm on the constant hunt for applications that help my trade. I am continuously looking for a document management system that will help me manage files and customers effectively. If dropbox has some file management tagging in place that would be nice.

Best Service for Storage of the Documents

  • March 02, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is one of the best service providers for document/file storage. It has a very simple control panel also for the user who does not know how to use the technological devices. It has the ability to share your files, documents via just a simple sharing link with your friends/parents/colleagues. Other platforms need extra things to complete the process and it makes them much more complex. Therefore, the most important thing about Dropbox is simplicity. Therefore, everyone whose priority is simplicity can use Dropbox instead of other vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, unfortunately, Dropbox gives less storage capacity to users that could be arguably too low. It means that it is less than other service providers. Therefore, it could be changed in future updates and gives extra space to users in order to store their files much reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox as a repository for my lecture notes and projects and then when I want to share them with my colleagues I can easily give permission to them by sharing the link of the file. It is easy to share all contents with your mates. On the other hands, the storage area of my phone is limited and I am using Dropbox in order to store my older photos instead of occupying the space on my phone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is very simple to adapt to and is very user friendly. This property makes my work so much easier to share with my colleagues. It means it helps to manage this kind of sharing problems just using one click of your mouse. It helps us to transfer larger files from one account to another one so that they can download the documents easily. It works a lot better than the traditional methods and allows me to store files without using memory on my computer and cellphone.

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing docs is easy, and having them avaiable on all my computers and phone is amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are not online, may get multiple copies of a doc and it's hard to tell which is which. Would be nice to see a warning or something rather than try to figure our what has what info on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access in multiple locations, Dropbox is the easisest and best solution we've found!
