There is a huge amount of data on which I was working and ScyllaDB has helped me a lot on executing the queries and managing the data.
Optimal nosql solution for scalability
What do you like best about the product?
Scylladb prooved to be our one stop solution for all our database needs. It provides number of features like high scalblity, auto sharding, low latency and high performance db engine along with fine tuning of the shard level configuration. The best thing was it provide tablet monitoring where i can see query performance and output. We often use it for planty of use cases and best part is it is easy to integrate and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first glance enterprise edition would be difficult to grasp due to wide range of option in the scylladb monitoring dashboard. customer support & documentation can be improved. ALso all features compared to other dbs are still under development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scylladb being a nosql db provide alot of features with cloud native applications. Previously we used dynamodb for our use cases so the transition with scylladb was very easy having alot of functionality on top of it. Data districution with tablet is one of the key feature that enhances our database usage and personally i like it's monitoring dashboard which is quiet user-friendly and easy to use.

ScyllaDB: A High-Performance NoSQL Database That Excels
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ScyllaDB is its impressive performance. By fully leveraging modern multi-core processors, ScyllaDB achieves significantly lower latencies and higher throughput compared to traditional NoSQL databases. This high performance makes it ideal for real-time applications and large-scale data handling.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of ScyllaDB is its resource-intensive nature. While it delivers excellent performance, it can require significant hardware resources to operate optimally. This might lead to higher infrastructure costs, especially for smaller organizations or those with limited budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB solves issues of high latency and low throughput with its efficient multi-core processing, ensuring faster data processing. It provides linear scalability, maintaining performance as data grows, and offers ease of use with its compatibility with CQL and robust tooling. Additionally, its automatic failover and data replication ensure high availability and reliability
Best performing NoSQL Database
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using ScyllaDB for a while now. Amazed with latest features like tablet based data distribution, and rebalacing of data across multiple nodes. The fasted bootstrapping of nodes in a busy cluster is the highlight of scyllaDB which makes it's usage and integration quite seamless. My Current Organisation Infosec is using this for security data analysis and threat protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks some of the features which exist in cassandra and some DBs like the graph queries, built-in-search flexibilty etc. High resource consumption as a result of good performance. Customer support and doc could be improvement with time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High scaling capabilities and automatic sharding functionalities differs it from other DBs and serve the purpose of our reliable NoSQL database. We store large sets of data and rarely had a problem with the accessibility. It's cloud agnostic so containerization does help in keeping things easy.
ScyllaDB helped in improving my understanding on high-performance database for my academic projects.
What do you like best about the product?
ScyllaDB's high high-performing capabilities helped me explore real-time applications like online transaction processing systems and real-time analytics platforms. It helped me understand high-performance data dynamics and their efficiency in handling large data volumes. Its strong community support greatly helps in learning by offering practical solutions and best practices.
The things that I like the most about ScyllaDB are its easy application to transition between the two databases, and the relevance of ScyllaDB in today's industry because of its usage in industries like real-time analytics, finance, and IoT. The most important thing about ScyllaDB is that it is easily accessible for students like me without any financial investments.

What do you dislike about the product?
ScyllaDB is a bit complex for individuals who do not have prior experience of using a similar system. It requires high resources for students with limited cloud and hardware resources making it limited reachable for experimenting on a budget. Its configuration is a complex and time-consuming procedure that demands in-depth knowledge. Access to its advanced features is costly which is not a pocket-friendly option for students like me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB helps in handling large-scale data efficiently. Its efficiency in processing real-time data makes it a reliable database architecture for businesses to rely on in today's advanced technological era.
It benefits me because I gained hands-on experience in distributed systems and modern data management through it. It helped me learn performance optimization and scalability of databases which I think is important for my academic projects and professional journey. It prepared me for seeking a career in data management by developing a data management skill.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is no autoconfig which can set tunables optimal for a given hardware which is must to get high performance.
Other than that, there are not major downsides except there is not much gain from the scylladb if request rates are very low. Other databases perform better for smaller usecases.
