Works Fine Past the Initial Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
Push notifications are much better than receiving a text message and require a minimal number of clicks/taps
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup was incredibly challenging without IT support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I understand the need for dual authentication, especially when laptops are easily stolen, working for a global company where travel is a frequent, etc. It's a necessary evil, but Duo makes authentication rather simple - once it's set up.
Let's say you're prompted to change your password by your administrator or log out of your company's intranet. You'll be prompted to provide your password, and a Duo push notification will be sent to your device. Swipe to open the notification, and tap the green check mark. It's relatively easy, and much better than punching in a 6-digit code from a text (though you can go that way as well).
I appreciate the fact that Duo allows me to authenticate via both my work and my personal phone. If I don't have my work phone nearby, it's easy to log into Outlook web, authenticate via the same phone that's in my hand and view my meetings for the next day, for example.
The one thing I didn't like was setup. I traveled to another office the minute I started with my company, and found myself in a catch-22 where I couldn't set up Duo without my email and couldn't log into my email without Duo. The situation was easily resolved, but be aware that setting up Duo requires a bit of IT help and isn't completely self-serve.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to securely authenticate our users with a second ID.
Duo Security Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can connect securely into my work office when away from the work network.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like how I must have my phone for connecting. I wish it also had euchre passcodes you could additionally use, as you phone may not be always available
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it to connect to the company VPN securely.
As easy as it gets.
What do you like best about the product?
Duo 2FA has been the best feature that we've implemented throughout the company. I can secure connections easily and with Duo Push we can manage end user access very easily. A company wide initiative is in the works, that will enforce 2FA for more of our day to day product usages. This will be made very simple through the use of Duo 2FA protection and as testing has shown, it should be spot on reliable to utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really much of anything I've found that I absolutely don't like. For the most part, the product is intuitive and simple to setup and maintain. One of the only complaints I have is that the portal can seem a little busy on the surface and somewhat difficult to navigate for the beginner. I've been using it long enough that I'm used to the work flow within the product but some of our new hires have found it to be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly 2FA for a multitude of protected systems. We have begun looking into expanding the MDM features for better administration of BYOD cellular devices. A move that we once attempted via another company but because of the requirements, failed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As always, configure everything carefully before implementation. The only thins we found was that we really needed more licenses to accommodate the growth we saw after initial implementation and also for the expanded protections applied for 2FA.
Duo Mobile - Now I Can Sleep at Night
What do you like best about the product?
Duo Mobile provides 2nd Form Factor authentication in a variety of ways so it can be very flexible. Using an app on the phone, you can receive push notifications, you can receive a call from the system, or you can receive a text. Integration with the various systems was straightforward and simple for the most part. And where the integration was complex, Duo's support desk walked us through the process. Knowing that a bad actor now has to not only steal credentials but obtain the users mobile device information gives me a sense that we've done all we can realistically do. User enrollment and management is a breeze. And the best news, it's affordable protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly do not have anything about Duo that I do not like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duo Mobile helps us ensure the security of remote access to our network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have any form of remote access to your network, you need this product.
Super easy to install and use for 2 factor authentication
What do you like best about the product?
This app is so easy to use and set up. I have multiple computers and websites set up so I can receive DUO authentication codes for many different programs. Easier than any other I have used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downsides, this is hands down the best 2 factor authentication app I have used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a highly secure office. We work in finance and all of our programs from email to financial software now requires 2 factor authentication and this allows us to do so securely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This app is super easy to install and start using. You can use the q-scanner to automatically link up your programs and this is not a difficult task.
Great software for security protection
What do you like best about the product?
It's a recently introduced software, and It's intended purpose to add a layer of security appears to be working. It's easy to understand and access.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems that phishing emails have increased/continued since we've used DUO. Also, it requires the use of a smartphone, which some people in my department don't have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security
If I have to use it, at least it's the best to do the job
What do you like best about the product?
That it's fairly easy. I'm dislike that my school has switched to multi-factor authentication, however if we HAVE to use it, I prefer it to, say, HAQM, where you have to be texted.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that if I don't have my phone or passcode, I can't get in to websites I need. I also dislike that some sites require duo, but don't actually have the duo confirmation page come up (you have to use your phone or change the password to include the passcode).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting valuable data on education as well as billing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need multi-factor authentication, this is the best possible product to do it.
Two-factor security for accessing protected information
What do you like best about the product?
Our team's research utilizes protected information that only authorized users can access. Duo provides a simple mobile app synchronized with an online account that provides secure two-factor authentication. This method of secure authentication is reliable and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Duo becomes tedious for employees if companies require all websites to use Duo. If a Duo sign-in is required at every log in (rather than once every 12 hours or 30 days, for example), it might hinder rather than help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that employees are accessing protected information securely and safely is made easy with Duo.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Administrators should be sure that only those applications or websites containing protected information use Duo. Become familiar with and use the options allowing for an extending login time without having to go through Duo again. These two recommendations will save employees a lot of tedious trouble using Duo.
Great Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease that DUO gives me to log into my work accounts securely!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any complains about using Duo Security!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duo Security allows me to safely log in safely to confidential information even when out of the office.
