Intacct Review - SaaS Company
What do you like best about the product?
The automated revenue recognition and the reporting function are among my favorite features. We have 18,000 transactions a year in AR that drive revenue schedules and around 12,000 customers. Intacct allows us to automate a lot of the process as well as improve our audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very Little. The way that intacct makes improvements based on customer ideas allows anyone to get a necessary change. I like that I can go in and provide feedback or an idea and see changes in the next couple releases. I also thing their basic support is fabulous. Gets back with a response usually within 24-48 hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Good ERP system with wide features
What do you like best about the product?
It is cloud based so we don't have to worry about the data and migration tools and don't have to worry about the security.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SDK for integration of the customization of the software is not so good and also the automated customization deployment is not there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are the document management system so we have customized our system with the intacct.

Ability to customize reports to slice and dice financial data in a variety of ways.

Poor user interface, lack of bank integrations, there is no ability to automate anything.
It is a very manual/labor intensive program especially as compared to QuickBooks.
It takes more staff time to handle the same function as QuickBooks.
Can't go back and fix minor errors. It needs to be a lot more QuickBooks like in functionality.
As most users convert from QuickBooks they need a program which will seamlessly convert the data.
Financial reports out of the box are poor but the ability to customize makes up for that once you learn how.
Customer support is cumbersome but knowledgeable.

Not solving a specific problem, able to get data from Intacct any way we want via the report function.

Ask a lot of questions of the sales rep and then take what they say with a grain of salt.
Talk to actual users to get their feedback and how they use it.

Sage Intacct and Intellitec Solutions for Senior Living/Long Term Care Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
Dimensions, dashboards and reporting along with Intellitec's automated daily integratiion with Point Click Care provides Senior Living organizations and their location/division managers the real time information they need to better serve their residents and control costs. Daily revenue, cash, census and other non-financial data automatically integrated real time with Intellitec's integrations provides all the data needed in the Intacct system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most organizations wish they implemented and integrated Sage Intacct with Point Click Care sooner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations with Point Click Care, payroll and other operational systems with Intellitec's automated daily integrations provides all data in one system and facilitates real time reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Intacct provides functionality out of the box that other SaaS solutions need scripts and code.
My favorite mid-market finance software
What do you like best about the product?
We like the new subscription billing package which will allow us to interface with Saleforce.com. The system also has very flexible reporting capabilities, including a number of dimensions that we have not had in the past. We are very exciting to go live in January 2016.
What do you dislike about the product?
The set up process is somewhat extensive and time-consuming, especially doing it on our own with a consultant to assist us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better revenue information and visibility to many in the company through dashboards.

Make sure you evaluate this package
Intacct is a very robust and dynamic software

The reporting capabilities of Intacct far exceed those of any software that i have had experience with. In addition, the customization features are great as well.

The only thing that i dislike about Intacct is that there is SO MUCH that you can do that i wish i knew all of the potential.

The ability to report everything with the easiest level of transparency

What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I like best about Intacct is the ease of using the software. As long as you set up Intacct correctly, everything is straight-forward. Separate entities can have their own set of books but everything is still intertwined if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced anything that I disliked about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started at a company that used Quickbooks and each entity had a separate login, they had 26 entities. Intercompany JEs took too long and a JE had to be entered in for everything that needed to be allocated. The month end close process took 21 days. Now that we have moved over to Intacct, we can close out within 12 days. There is less work to do when everything is intertwined. Intacct has improved our work-life balance as well. We can login and work from home if needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the best decision for your company! Go for it!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the tabs. Its has my timesheets separate from company details and projects. The timesheets are easy for me to enter and submit. The login is straight forward, although I am just a timesheet user and not from the accounts payable team from my company.
I like that it has features where you can edit an added timesheet and re-submit, before the approval.
Intacct also stores my previous timesheets right from the very beginning, from my date of joining until present.
I also like that we can customize the search options to get the results we want.
The help menu on the right hand side corner is also helpful, and I admit I did not need any assistance as it was simple.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it also showed my information on how much PTO balance I have remaining on my account. I have to get into ADP for this information.
I have never tried the duplicate button to see what that means, I just need to explore what that tab actually does.
The hours in a day balance although shows 8 which is right, but since I am salaried, it would be useful if it showed me as salaried than saying hourly under the calculation method tab.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My focus is limited on Intacct. I only use to log my worked hours, although its a very user-friendly website. Much better from the other systems out there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely tell my friends at MSFT and HAQM, am not sure what they use, but this could give in a better user experience.

Intacct has increased the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance/accounting team to enable our leaders to make better decisions. Our department heads are empowered to make more decisions to effectively lead and manage their areas of responsibility as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the single entity set-up does not allow drill down to G/L without giving access to the ENTIRE G/L.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The executive/team and Board were not able to get reliable reports in the way they needed to see the data reported to make good decisions. Our department heads set budgets each year, but they were not aware of their budget versus actual status throughout the year to make good decisions.
