Robust Interface for managing Mobile Devices
What do you like best about the product?
I like that when JAMF makes updates/improvements that they still keep the general look of the website the same. There are lots of ways to setup and customize your experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
We did have one issue when the JAMF dashboard updated, but it was quickly resolved in a few days. Customer support is super prompt, easy to understand, and does multiple follow-ups to make sure you are taken care of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us manage our iPads in our school to make sure that they do not get lost. It has also allowed us to easily deploy apps and create settings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely take the time to do an online training and configure your mobile devices just like you would an Active Directory. Use support - they are very helpful!!!

Best tool in my job.
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to manage so many devices in one place, the ease of on boarding is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there are not more tools like Jamf for the rest of job.

What do you like best about the product?
The sheer amount of customization available and it can be built around what makes sense for your organization as opposed to a cookie cutter approach.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JAMF likes to update their software as soon as possible, there have been a few times they have rushed to update resulting in issues that can take a few days to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer have to touch each and every iPad or enter Apple ID passwords. Teachers and librarians have the ability to manage their own devices, and wipe them at the end of the year so they are fresh with the same software for the new year.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a lot more complicated than you may think to set up. So before doing anything, think of how you would like to ideally like to manage your devices and create a step by step plan, and then discuss it with the person who will help you set up so you are both on the same page.
Love the ease of use of this system.

The ease of finding devices and controlling them in the portal.

not having granularity in permissions. Would like to see more levels and customization.

We use them primarily for our ipad management to push applications so they dont lock to one apple id.
Finding My way with Jamf
What do you like best about the product?
Clean dashboard and interface. Flexible management of MAC OS and iOS environments. Easy enrollment of devices. Quality customer support. Community of users is great resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support response time needs to improve. Training is hard to access and costly.

Managament of MAC devices across multiple campuses and user types.

More accessible and less costly training.

What do you like best about the product?
This is a great system. So straightforward to use. I would encourage taking the 100/200 courses and using the knowledge base articles which are awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
A few more intuitive tweaks would go a long way as this is a web-based service and ux can sometimes be impacted by jumping pages

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily push configurations and profiles to macOS devices. Using vpp is easy and simple. Self service is the biggest benefit I use.

LDAP proxy server has issues with dual network cards

Jamf Pro is fantastic!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf allows us to easily manage our medium deployment of Macs to users within our organization. Very scalable so if the fleet gets larger, Jamf will handle it. Easy app deployment as well as inventory management. A+

So far the deployment has gone well and there has been very few issues or anything we could complain about.

Mac asset management, imaging, application control among other things.

What do you like best about the product?
jamf has a new look and features that make it easier for new users get started and be productive. Driven from extensive user feedback and testing, Jamf is equipped with breadcrumbs, collapsible navigation and context-aware warnings so IT administrators know what to do next and why.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little tough for less technical users. Also, product requires jump start installation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
pushing code42 to thousands of devices, likewise removing other applications in bulk
Simplified, powerful management
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf has been a game changer for our Mac and iOS administration. Compared to our SCCM management of Windows, we have a much higher level of confidence in our ability to determine what is occurring on our Mac endpoints, in the success (or failure) of our software deployments and updates, and in our security compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, the price has continued to be an issue; we pay it because it’s necessary. Also, given that our FileVault verification is stored in Jamf, we are stuck either losing historical encryption data for audit purposes or paying for extra licenses to maintain endpoint records. This only further exacerbates the cost concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep our payroll positions for Mac support and admin at a minimum because of the simplicity and power that Jamf provides. Our Mac admin has been able to fully manage our Mac fleet from imaging on through the lifecycle AND pick up other significant responsibilities because Jamf takes care to f so much of his work for him.
