What do you like best about the product?
Apttus for the most part is an intuitive tool that allows Sales Reps to streamline their Quote to Cash process. Apttus provides out of the box functionality for Product Selection, Pricing, Approvals and Contract generation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apttus can be very slow (we are on an older release) at times. The User Interface can sometimes be confusing/not intuitive. Apttus is a complex tool that can make problem solving an arduous and difficult to pinpoint the real issue. I'd also like to see more reporting functionality out of Apttus CPQ
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Apttus across the board for our Sales team. It's the primary tool for Sales Reps to get Quotes/Proposals created in SFDC, priced and approved before sending out to the customer for Signature. This is a fairly streamlined process that after time, has become second nature for our Sales team. We also leverage Apttus CLM for our Negotiated MSAs. Both products work well together and are a great solution for any Enterprise Business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try not to use a lot of custom code. The out of the box product works well by itself.

More documentation on ERP integration and seamless flow of data without having to have a big middleware system

be sure to hire a capable implementation team to get the full use from the tool setup

It'is great to see an application that is so highly configurable. This will simplify the business processes for Configuring vehicles.

Still trying to figure out the pricing pieces and how easy it will be for us.

We didn't have a cloud based solution that worked with Salesforce.

Very hard to say, what not to like about this process, it is very well "Quote-to-Cash process "

It is very straight forward; it is easy to solve complex quoting and configuration processes.
Great CPQ Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Pricing Rule Configuration, Bundling and Constraint Rules. Features to tackle complex configurations, native to Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance definitely needs improvement. Addition of products on catalog page (with constraint rules) and pricing with large configurations could cause significant loading time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drive sales process efficiency and provide a self service tool to Sales Users/Deal Desk for faster and accurate quoting.
Configuring and Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
The AngularJs UI is beautiful to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring a product directly doesn't mesh well with the angular UI. It still has the old UI look which detracts from the astechteic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization of our Skus and integration with our product database, to give our users an easy method for configuring deals.
