Dislike RingCentral!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is an option to use RingCentral for video calls. It can make things easier when needing to share things with our clients. This should improve client communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the amount of lag there is even with a great internet connection. The pop-ups at the start of the call are frustrating because they direct you away from the screen you were on before, leading to delays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a way to share with clients and we record and store these records which is convenient when it works correctly and there are no issues, that happens sometimes.

What do you like best about the product?
I work for a senior wheelchair transportation company. This is an excellent way to communicate with the dispatch office while out in the field.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being to communicate with my office while in my vehicle out in the field.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability that RingCentral video can craft up a zoom link and great for making calls on laptop

The service can be a bit spotty wish there was a way to have better control of spam calls coming in

My managers have reached out to the support team they do a decent job but needs a bit of work

Best Video Conferencing tool out there

What do you like best about the product?
Scheduling the calls is very smooth and intuitive. Few clicks to manage anything and the calendar of events scheduled for the day is designed in a way that we won't have to forget anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any issue till now. Using it very frequently and practically haven't seen any downtime in all these years. Rarely I might have to click on the meeting link more than once but that's not an issue at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling day-to-day meetings, instant meetings, recurring meetings, anything can be done in a very efficient way. This has really helped the team members across to effectively communicate with each other.

Easy to launch in-browser video calls without the restrictions of a free zoom account

What do you like best about the product?
The absence of a time cap on a video meeting. The UI feels very familiar like the other video conference software, so it's easy to get used to. Overall it's much better than google hangouts and doesn't have the zoom limit.
What do you dislike about the product?
The calendar integration was slow to load a ring central meeting link, which was frustrating.
Some external folks haven't used ringcentral video before, so there's a lack of familiarity with launching the meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual video conferencing and meetings. It benefits me because I need to connect with external parties all the time.

Big improvements over the last few years

What do you like best about the product?
When we first started out with RingCentral Video it was very glitchy, a lot of connection problems, and freezing, however what I like best about this product and company- is that they listened to feedback and constantly worked to improve all of their products. The video platform now looks very similar to zoom and google meet. It is easy to use internally for our team meetings and does not cost our company any additional fees since our phone lines are MVP. I also like the fact that it is neatly integrated with our phones so popping into a meeting on RingCentral is seamless and no issues messing around with logging in or passwords.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of RingCentral Video - is the video quality. I have tried using a few other cameras and added a ring light, but the video quality is grainy and we still are experiencing intermittent freezing .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are cutting costs to our company, because the RingCentral Video is just a part of our phone lines it doesn't cost us anything additional to utilize it. So we are able to save $2000 a year by having our internal teams utilize RingCentral Video.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the video function is built right into the phone service application. The ability for you to view your outlook calendar and contacts is also fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
The application is very buggy compared to the built in web browser app. Video meetings will sometimes freeze up and audio and my microphone will cut out. Sometimes the screen will turn white and freeze up in the middle of a meeting, so you can still communicate in the meeting and hear the users talking to you in the meeting but the screen is a frozen solid white box with no buttons to press to try to refresh the meeting. The only way to resolve it is to close out of the meeting, close out of RingCentral entirely then reopen the program and try to join back into the meeting. And even then there is still a possibility of the meeting freezing up again. This issue is very constant in my company, I've tried turning on the compatibility setting in the settings to resolve the issue, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Meetings still freeze up. The settings are also very convoluted and hard to find, they are hidden behind three layers of menus. The last complaint that I have with RingCentral Video is that audio from sources on a shared screen does not work unless you are running the meeting from a browser, and even then it will only capture the audio from the browser and no other programs on your computer. Very frustrating if you are trying to show a video to your company or department in a meeting. The only solution to a lot of these issues is to run RingCentral Video via the web browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using RingCentral for over 3 months now and have not noticed any attempt to resolve the issues mentioned above. No updates, no solutions even though others have mentioned all the issues on their help desk site.
