Veeam Best Backup & Replication Tool for Vmware Data Center
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam backup and replication is very cool, based on my experience backup and restore the vmware ESXI very fast and effective with zero bit lost of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
it work well already i have no comment about this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
previously we use vmware snapshot but later on it crash the VM, so since we start using the veeam backup and replication we don't have this problem anymore, we can backup and restore VM quickly.

Easy to setup and use Backup & Replication solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it was to set up and start using. Also, reporting is also great, and I get email notifications on job completion status, so I do not have to log in to the system every day to view status. Another great feature is the instant recovery to turn up a backup right away then migrate it to another datastore to get your VM running faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that i could deploy the whole setup on a linux server, but you have to install the main setup on a windows server then you can turn up linux repositories to connect to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I able to backup and replicate my environment and even archive to the cloud. i have been able to recover lost data from backup without even having to restore a server with the backup file browser.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should do a demo of VeeamOne to see if you need the extra reporting features. The reports can be helpful if you need to send compliance data to anyone.

Veeam takes care of everything! It truly is a "set it and forget it" software that is easy to configure, easy to use in recovery, and easy to test to ensure that all is working properly
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part for me was not being able to use my old ways of restoring SQL Backups - but once I learned the Veeam interface, I was good to go!

What do you like best about the product?
The Veeam Backup & Replication allows to replicate the backup data not only locally but also externally such as cloud storage in HAQM Web Services or Microsoft Azure services. Since the repositories and services for backup and disaser recovery are available in a cloud service provider, the replication as well as disaster recovery plans are more efficient. Moreover, this tool allows us to maintain the backup job as well as the storages altogether to maintain and monitor the jobs centrally.
What do you dislike about the product?
As most business environments are changing to remote or work from anywhere business infrastructure in operations, web-based access to use the services is more competitive in business. However, the current versions of Veeam Backup and Replication services are only allowed application-based admin access, which requires connecting the server/services locally. This is kind of against the flexibility and effectiveness of using web-based trends in most software and service products in the industry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary reason of replacing our old backup and replication solutions with Veeam Backup and Replication was that it supports hosting the backup data in FedRamp certified cloud storage such as HAQM Web Services S3 Storage or Microsoft Azure Storage. This was an essential requirement to host our backup data for our clients, who are primarily federal agencies.

need to increase the number of instances in the free edition to be more than 10

What do you like best about the product?
In Veeam, one of the best feature is VM Backup and restore process. It is so easy to manage and easily understable process. Another most liked feature is image recovery. We can recover any manching easily within fure minutes. there are lots of features that i liked most and another one is it's replication feature. We can integrate with Vmware environment very easily and can replicate virtual machines from one DC to another DC very easily. We can replicate VMs within same DC in different Datastores as well. Which gives very easy operation feature incase of any issue withing VM.
We can create backup jobs based on the application on the server. We can backup and store file in any secondary storage easily and can run backed up machine within few clicks. It is very easy to setup, configure and manage. Can create backup and replication jobs very easily and fast.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not any such thing that i disliked within Veeam software till date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major issue we resolved was keeping backup machine in Vmware environment. Previously it was not that easy to maintain image backup within VMware environment and there was changes of data loss without this feature, but after implementing this feature it is lot more easy to keep scheduled backup/replication and keep them safe in multiple locations as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend to use this software.
This solution has the ability to support multiple types of data effectively.

Myself i love the tool backup and data recovering ability and the best communication allowing instant messaging precess.
Archiving functionality is good, encryption, and how its easy to create video conferencing sessions and to recover critical data.

None to report, the confiquration process was very easy and enjoyable process, and the tool learning curve is very short.

Very effective solution for the multiple data type management, easy data recovering and easy features to understand.
It's in the name! But prepare for some training.

Veeam runs exceptionally well and beyond with everything from simple NAS backups to complex SAN replication to DR storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The complexity can get a little overwhelming if you don't know what you're doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backups, Retentions, Compliance, and File Restores.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend this to be a specific department lead or role for backups. Our MSP uses many backup programs and Veeam is a lead but does require some manual daily checks. Be aware.
