Backuping files from cloud is excellent for our company's profile.
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam program is actually easy, simple to operate and capable of duplicating job on remote servers, and that is extremely surprising. It simply works. In addition to the simplicity of controlling backups to end products, you will have to search for another method which are able to do the exact same for the business of yours!
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional license charges for internet backups. Competitive systems here have cost and strength. With the incorporated Terminal Backup License you are able to determine just one backup task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam has resolved the 2 most prominent issues for us. Replicating of our creation system to a DR webpage and replication of the VM's functioning. Backing up endpoints has long been a huge headache and an incredibly costly area. Now we can backup any kind of files and any kind of documents won't be lost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In case you're backing up the virtual environment of yours, this is the very best item.

tier permissions for IT Staff are less than desired, ideally i cna have a multi site instance with users limited to certain portions

well if i must say something i think the partners , i think veaam must secure what partner is very ready for attendance customer

i used for do all my backup of my hiperconvergency infrastructure, 3 nodes and back up my sap hana server
The ultimate DR tool
What do you like best about the product?
The automation of running backups without you actively involved in monitoring the backups. The best i like is its ability to backup my VMs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to recover a VM is somewhat too long, in a production environment you cannot afford to be down for a day recovering your VM or other backups. i had a VM that took me almost 30 hours to recover. i lost hour of production waiting for Veeam to recover the machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
as a rule of thumb i need a backup of my critical systems, in case disaster strikes i know i have a fall back plan. i have managed to recover my my server when i was attacked by ransomware, i have managed to recover my users documents when they lost their laptop, i also managed to recover documents when a user went awol with company laptop and drives.

so far so good... the only issue is that Veeam costs were increased since this year :)

We had to decrease our recovery times. As part a drill exercise, we achieved very challenging times. We are very proud of our RTO times of our core system

DRand Endpoint backups made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam's software layout is simple and very easy to get running, and your options to run replication jobs to a remote server is amazing. It just works. Couple it's ability to handle endpoint backups with the same sheer ease, you will be hard pressed to find any other system to match this in its ability for a company.
What do you dislike about the product?
The additional license cost for backing up over the internet. Competing systems do have the upper hand here with ability and price. With the included license fit the Endpoint backup only one backup job can be set. I would have liked the ability to have 2 different jobs available without additional licensing.

Veeam handles the 2 most critical points for us:
Replication of our production systems to a DR site (and the replicated jobs VM's work)
Endpoint backups that have always been a massive headache and a exceptionally costly area to cover.

What do you like best about the product?
It was extremely important to us that the platform we were using to backup and maintain critical systems was not only reliable and efficient, but also able to use multiple platforms of storage while being flexible enough to move data between storage devices. Not only does VEEAM do this well, it is extremely efficient and has allowed us to reallocate storage from a previous system that was extremely vendor specific. We have also been pleasantly surprised on how the VEEAM infrastructure works with our HP Nimble arrays for storage snapshots and replication. We have three main data centers across the country and VEEAM handles the replication between these sites flawlessly. Another aspect that has been an unexpected success is the ability to archive older restore points to various cloud infrastructures that were already existing in AWS and Azure. Job creation, duplication, and replication are all configured easily through wizards that anyone can understand, without having to create so many different aspects as in other products. Technical support has been amazing and the longest I have waited for a response (me personally) is 2 hours. But, for full disclosure, after having VEEAM in production for over a year now, I have only used support twice for configuration questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would like to see more of is training on the software. The Availability Suite can do so may things, that it is hard to grasp the functionality over the initial introduction to the software. We were on another platform and eager to move, so the training may have been rushed on our part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved many issues, including being able to easily backup and restore from Linux based operating systems without the use of any third party or additional software in our VMWare environment. We also have solved the problem of having to continuously upgrade our storage platform with vendor specific hardware. Reutilizing various storage platforms has increased efficiency, avoided over consumption, and saved dollars.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of all of retraining and webinars they provide because a lot of the functionality that you have to pay for in other Suites is already there and included.
