Easy to integrate, flexible in use

What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth stands out as a developer-friendly identity and access management (IAM) platform that excels in ease of integration, flexibility, and multi-tenancy—qualities especially valuable for SaaS providers. I really like the SaaS offering with its development friendly pricing with option to upgrade for a more enterprise level of scalability and availability.
Administration of the SaaS instance is headache free with option to update FusionAuth by a "single" button with a minimal downtime.
IAM admin panel have nice UI/UX which was important at beginning of our IAM adventure because we did not have enough time to integrate IAM admin panel into our application.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to integrate FusionAuth SaaS offering into our monitoring and uptime tracking solutions. Right now we do not see easy solution for this.
Our custom workflows required to write a library to ensure no possibility of making mistakes when integrating it in our modular backend application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FusionAuth enabled IAM/CIAM for our modular application with options to restricts access to modules for specific roles or clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Offloading user account management to FusionAuth allows me to support a ton of different auth providers without having to write endless glue code and inevitably screw up auth and leave my users vulnerable.

I really like being able to quickly integrate authentication into my app, create users and have them setup their accounts/reset passwords/setup MFA all without having to stand up my own extra infrastructure to do it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had some frustrating bugs where user account creation failed with limited feedback. I suspect the reasoning is to avoid things like account enumeration, but it makes troubleshooting difficult without a lot of additional logging on my side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use FusionAuth to manage user accounts (standalone & SSO) for access to our customer portal.

Perfect Auth Solution for SaaS

What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth delivered a seamless auth solution for our multi-tenant SaaS without any workarounds.
Onboarding was fast and smooth, Clean APIs, solving our needs right out of the box.
Their customer success team is prompt, helpful, and always available when needed
What do you dislike about the product?
We found the social login integration to have a learning curve,but we had a alternatitve so did not leverage this feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FusionAuth is solving our multi-tenant authentication challenges by providing a clean, out-of-the-box solution that doesn’t require workarounds. It allows us to manage users and tenants efficiently, with a fast onboarding process. This has saved us time, reduced complexity, and ensured a more secure and scalable auth setup.

What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth is a solid identity and access management (IAM) platform, and what stands out the most—what I “like best”—depends a bit on the use case, but here are the big highlights:

1. Developer-Friendliness: FusionAuth is built with developers in mind. It’s easy to install (via Docker or native install), well-documented, and has good SDKs for multiple languages. The API-first approach makes it very customisable.

2. Feature-Rich for Free Tier: The Community edition offers a surprising number of features out of the box—like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, 2FA, JWT support, and more—without needing a paid plan right away.

3. Self-Hosting Option: Unlike many identity providers that are strictly SaaS, FusionAuth lets you self-host. That’s huge for organisations that need control over data, want to comply with specific regulations, or just prefer managing their own stack.

4. Extensibility: You can add custom JWT claims, create custom user data fields, and even run Lambdas (small bits of custom code) during events like login or registration.

5. Migration & Import Tools: FusionAuth has robust tooling for migrating from other auth systems—super useful when switching from Auth0, Firebase, or a custom-built solution.

6. Multi-Tenant Support: If you’re building a SaaS platform, their multi-tenant support makes it easy to separate user bases across different organisations or applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
the admin UI can feel clunky and unintuitive at times, especially when configuring more advanced features like custom workflows or email templates. It works, but there’s a bit of a learning curve and some UX polish could go a long way.

Also, for very large-scale enterprise needs, you might hit some limitations unless you go with the paid version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Steep Learning Curve for Advanced Features: While basic setup is straightforward, configuring things like multi-tenancy, custom JWT claims, or advanced workflows can be confusing without diving deep into docs.

2. UI/UX Friction: The admin dashboard isn’t the most intuitive—some settings are buried in menus or worded in ways that aren’t super clean.

3. Limited Built-in User Management Tools: Compared to some competitors, bulk user management, advanced segmentation, or analytics features are limited or require external integration.

4. Community Support vs. Enterprise: The community edition is great, but support is community-based unless you pay for a plan. This can be a bottleneck if you hit a critical issue and need fast help.

5. Customisation Has Limits: While extensible, certain workflows (like custom registration flows or deep UI customisation) might require awkward workarounds or external systems.

6. Docker-Only Convenience: The easiest path to set up is Docker, but if you’re not using containers, the manual install path can be more painful and dependency-heavy.

What do you like best about the product?

Nothing, this is a very good platform if I need to do MFA, and SSO

They are protecting my accounts and ensuring my account safety especially in an age where cybercrime is at an all time high. I feel much safer and secure about my online presence.

Good solution for IAM requirements under one hood

What do you like best about the product?
Fusion Auth has covered authentication grounds on all levels, be in single sign on, MFA.
What do you dislike about the product?
I faced some challenges while moving authenticator backups from my android phone to ios. The backup wasnt compatible with the iphone application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the MFA and Single sign on issues are no more a roadblock or a headache with Fusion auth. Very user friendly and certainly meets the IAM requirement of our organisation.
