Wonderful discovery of GraphQL through your platform

  • May 16, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is so easy to use that it is not real. Every "problem" we had with hygraph, your platform covered it thoroughly. We left few messages in your Slack community chat and got the answers in half an hour. We are about to embark on a project that uses your platform as their CMS for page views and when I learn new technologies its usualy painful, but with Hygraph, all is good baby... Thanks alot for making this wonderful platform of yours... Best regards from VegaIT Serbia :)
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not dislike in a way but some feedback that may or maynot make sense to you guys. Not long ago we got an offer to maintain an already existing web application that uses Hygraph for CMS. The problem was with signing all FDA papers in order to access the content on Hygraph, with all the birocracy that comes along with it. So my suggestion is that, if it is somehow possible to make a feature to extract just the schema of GraphQL as a file or something, so that someone can just import that schema into their own project and have same template for data entities. Then after tha, development team can just mock as much data as they need. Good for Product Owner good for developers, without any wait time we can jump right into figuring out the entities of the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that Hygraph as a platform solves is that there is no need for whole bunch of frontend features for content management. All the problems that come alongside with forms, modals, validtions,... goes away. You get your nice looking UI, you add stuff if needed, edit it with ease. It saves alot of time, its secure and reliable.

Using it for our headless Magento 2 app

  • May 16, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and run with. Works well as a CMS and no major issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The blog design too is frustratingly limited in control of images, text and spacing. All blog posts, despite our best efforts with the tool set, all look like basic HTML with images that default to very large and small text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph enables our headless Magento 2 environment to function on the front end where there were very few options at the time.

Keeping track of my microblogs has never been easier

What do you like best about the product?
The biggest upside is that I can use any framework I want for frontend, since it's not built in
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it's based on GraphQL, it doesn't have the ability to use the RestAPI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me it's solving the problem of overbloated websites that other CMS cause (such as wordpress) and also managing multiple microblogs without any downtimes

A better alternative to sanity headless CMS

  • May 16, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The hygraph user interface is pretty cool, as i was using sanity before i could easily navigate all the sections. Also, hygraph was fastest amongst all the CMS i have used compared to storyblok and sanity this is much better. It has a wide community support which is appreciable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data migration from sanity to this was a challenge as i was facing some compatability issues. This can be worked upon as users will be choosing hygraph to migrate to so that they get a seamless experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph is really simpler to use compared to other Headless CMS , the UX is on point. Also the project management is helpful i can add multiple collaborators to my project working in a team this fetaure is quite something i was looking for. I liked the API playground fetaure that is leveraging graphQL . This helped integration test checks.

Hygraph is great for startups and large enterprises alike!

What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph removes all of the friction out of managing content on your front-end. It gives all the features you need, and not of the extra fluff you find with other CMS solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hygraph may not be great for marketers or content managers who don't have a technical background, mostly due to the lack of a visual editor. That being said, this weakness is a strength for certain types of users since the integration is a lot less heavy-handed and intrusive from a development standpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content management, data management

The visual schema management, and the customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
It supports only GraphQL to access its content API
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wouldn't have to build my own CMS.

Very well build and asthetic headless CMS

What do you like best about the product?
I do like the look and feel of tha app.
Since i am using Hygraph for over 3 years now it is simply fantastic ho well organized the app is.
Setting up Backends for my Angular Frontend is blazing fast.
Setting up Shemas with the drag and drop is just awesome.
It saves me tons if hours creating userfriendly Backends for Clients which are not overcrowded with Information.
The ability to create content blocks makes it very easy to give my customers the Freedom they need.

As i do run multiple customers for their backends it is also great that they can invite my account as an admin for theirs.

What gives me ne ability to administrate the different backends from one Account!

Oberall i've tried many systems in that scenario and hygraph has simply one one ne most beautiful interfaces.

Oh and the api Playground is just nice.

Only thing that lags is organizing assets and save queries in the playground.

But i can live with that.

The system improves and development is good.

It is also well documentend.

Ober all i am very satisfied.

Would be nice to have a paid plan for freelance projects that just need a little mor than the free subscription to boost it just a tiny bit. The gap between paid an free is to large.
What do you dislike about the product?
As mentioned before it lags in asset handling (grouping assets), but most headless cms do that, too. And it is sad that queries in the playground wont be saved in users profile.
As a developer i constantly flushing my browser cache so most configurations like queries / organized views of lists are just saved in local storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simply blasting time if creating backend sevices. It is so fast and easy to use!

  • May 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Ease of use
- Great documentation
- Fair pricing
- Flexibility of the product
What do you dislike about the product?
- Limited number of requests, which is too small when you build you next JS
- Limited UI on mobile
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating the "back-end" for my websites (3 for now), handling all the static content.
It's superfast to setup, and extremely well concieved.
