    Jakub Z.

Simple and easy to use CMS, exactly what we needed.

What do you like best about the product?
Exactly what one might need from a headless CMS.

Easy dev setup. GraphQL API, called from a Next.js + Apollo appliation.
Intuitive and simple CMS administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
GraphCMS has its limitations, that it only offers GraphQL API, or you have to define your own schemas before using them, etc. But all of this is a price paid for straightforward simplicity. Just great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a headless CMS, which allows us to build our own front-end, but not care about the admin/cms side. We want to serve blog and other types of dynamic content on our site, but we want non-tech employees from the marketing and sales teams to be able to change that content. And since we did not want to build our own CMS, this is the perfect solution in the middle.

What do you dislike about the product?
Missing support for inputs like html with syntax highlighting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modern and easy content management which just works without any issues. Fast access and intuitive interface with possibilities to extend it.

It's so good to save info and create specifics schemes

What do you like best about the product?
the way how GraphCMS save the data is based on no relational databases. The interface is very intuitive too. You can click on many buttons and you have the security that you'll not break anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the suggestion on the playground, it's a little hard to know all the info. Because sometimes we waste too much time looking for the keywords necessary to make a request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to work with GraphQL and we are looking for hostings and storage applications because we're using Firebase, but we found this solution as it's interesting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nothing bad to say, it's a great service.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very well laid out and user-friendly. The docs are very clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some advanced features missing (media domain optimization for SEO for instance), some are being introduced though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating complex information architectures that can be used in different touchpoints.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the top-level headless CMS offers, check that it has all the features you need, every platform on the market has small differences that might make a big difference in your implementation.

    Design

intuitive interface, but complex logic and interaction

  • May 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's the most user friendly cms platform i have experienced. visually less confusing than other similar platforms in a content implementation perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nested navigation is very confusing and annoying in general. Publishing vs Save logic gets confusing. Also has a few detectable bugs that influence the work flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easier to find existent components, and therefore to edit them. Assets library is also very intuitive and easy to use. Setting up components in BE is easier to understand and to brief to editors compared to other competitors.

    Chaz W.

GraphCMS understands the concept of doing one thing well, and they do it well.

What do you like best about the product?
It's fast and intuitive. I also like that the online tools for managing the models are quick (both reactiveness and navigation wise) and they don't require a steep learning curve to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation for backloading WYSIWYG blocks could be a little clearer. I had to import a bunch of records, and ended up relying on trial and error to get these fields to load properly. My need was probably more of an edge case (since the whole idea of GraphQL is to collect data that will be later recalled), but it is one part that could be a little clearer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We did a set of data which could be related to other data, both as a parent of the other data, or a child, or, in some weird cases, as both. GraphCMS relationships made this intuitive.

    Education Management

It is fairly easy to use, especially for non web developers like myself.

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the functionality is fairly clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pushing changes to our website does take some time. It also lacks some functionality that we needed for our website, like contract creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've automated many of our booking processes as well as set up accounts for our team.

What do you like best about the product?
I like user interface, nice playground. Also graphcms has localization support, union types with relations out of box and good user documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no support of svg files when using crop image functionality
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No backend and server implementation required when using graphcms. This is a huge benefit
