Secureframe Streamlines Annual SOC 2 Compliance Audits
What do you like best about the product?
We really like how Secureframe integrates with all our key platforms: Okta (identity and access management), Kandji (MDM), JustWorks (HRIS), Google Workspace (email, and collaboration), and Vetty (background checks). Thanks to these integrations, as well as prior work we did for our SOC 2 audit last year, approximately 130 out of 198 SOC 2 compliance tasks in Secureframe this year passed without any work required on our end.
Additionally, the Vendors tab in Secureframe makes it easy to track annual vendor reviews for all the SAAS tools we use. The tool allows you to designate the type of vendor and data they process, upload compliance documentation for the vendor (SOC 2 Type I/II, ISO 27001), and mark the date of engagement and date of last review for a vendor. Based on the data you input, Secureframe will calculate a recommended risk level associated with the vendor. This data then automatically feeds into a compliance task that will automatically pass if you’ve completed all your vendor reviews and marked the date of last review to be within the last year.

What do you dislike about the product?
Compliance tests tied to certain systems, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Jira, and GitHub may require more work on your end to ensure passage. This is to be expected because these are complex systems, and they require work on your end to ensure all your resources are properly tagged and secured. However, it can sometimes be tricky to get everything configured correctly in these systems, and you may have to write exceptions to pass certain tests.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secureframe streamlines the process of completing our annual SOC 2 compliance audits. By integrating with most of our key systems, they remove the need for us to manually document the compliance of many of our systems to our auditors, which saves us a lot of time.
While Secureframe is not a perfect solution, we really appreciate their willingness to work with us, listen to our feedback, and improve their product based on it over time.
To get the most out of your partnership with Secureframe, it is beneficial to maintain communication with your Customer Success Manager and Renewals Manager early on. This will allow you to openly communicate feedback, gain valuable knowledge on how to best use the platform, and ensure you remain aligned when it comes time to renew and continue your partnership.

Compliance Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Secureframe's ease of use, how clearly it lays out what's needed for each compliance framework, and the fact that I have a single place where I can keep track of our evidence. I also love how responsive their team has been with questions and feedback, and that they partner with our auditors to make the audit process incredibly smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major. We occasionally run into small snags with the software, but their support team and our account rep respond very quickly anytime we encounter something we're not sure is correct. They've also made several improvements to the software since we started working with them, indicating they take feedback, functionality, and user experience seriously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secureframe is making it easier to manage the process of achieving security and compliance certifications and attestations. We have used them to become both SOC and HIPAA compliant, and in an organization where our resources are limited and we don't have a large team to handle this undertaking, I'm not sure we'd have been able to do it otherwise.

The other product integration, help document and automated policy template.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes test cases are not listed correctly. Other than this, everything is working great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped me to comply with industry standards and regulations such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001. It also simplifies and automates the compliance process, making achieving and maintaining compliance easier.

What do you like best about the product?
So far SecureFrame has been great with helping to get us ISO ready!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, they are very fast with responses, and everything else is pretty straight-forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping us organise and maker sure everything is straight for our ISO Security Compliance.
Convenient, organized help throughout security certification process
What do you like best about the product?
I love the easy-to-follow UI and the way everything is organized; I also like periodic task reminders and the colorful dashboard that lets you see what tests are failing and what action items need to be addressed. It's very convenient for some Secureframe to already have SOC2 or other certifications for some of the larger third-party vendors we use. It'd be ideal if they had these for all the vendors, but I recognize the difficulty. Secureframe's support and agents are also easy to reach, and they frequently provide office hours or meeting opportunities for us to discuss things. The product and services provided by SecureFrame helped us get our SOC2 Type I and II certifications in a much more streamlined and convenient way.
Update: The service I've received has been consistently good, with extremely dedicated agents helping to solve any problem quickly!

What do you dislike about the product?
Edit: Previously I'd said the updates caused confusion, but that hasn't been an issue this year! The only possible bug is that some error notifications persist even after they've been fixed, but those are small things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having SOC2 compliance helps us ensure our software is compliant with the security requirements of our customers as well as enforcing rigor in our own risk management. Secureframe organizes everything we need, prepares us for audits, and regularly reminds us to take care of our security tasks.

My only request, not a con, they did not have our auditor in the marketplace.

Takes Most of the Pain Out of the Process
What do you like best about the product?
Exceptionally easy integrations are very useful in automating the provision of information from the various systems and platforms we use for data, people and process management. Secureframe’s prefabricated business and security policies provide a great jumpstart to creating policies where they may be lacking or non-existent, and these policies can be easily customized to include the particulars for any individual organization’s variances to common/best practice approaches. The platform’s checklist approach to tasks and ownership makes it easy to track progress and manage multiple people’s involvement with assigned tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few occasions where platform glitchiness resulted in status indicators in one section not aligning with similar data appearing in other areas of the platform, but this is something we saw diminish over time as Secureframe seemed to be making a lot of platform revisions and enhancements during our time working with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 assessment and compliance, including making sure our policies, procedures and audit trails are aligned with industry standards, documented and easily accessible. We've benefited from Secureframe's guidance and the resulting increased discipline with regard to how we manage tech and business processes and assets.
