Retool has allowed us to build multiple apps for multiple different users with speed and ease.
What do you like best about the product?
It has allowed our development team to build quickly and with ease, for things which are not customer facing but impact the customer experience. Our whole team can use Retool as users, and our development team have been able to pick it up and build quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit laggy and glitchy on mobile, and when making updates to our records it doesn't always perfectly execute.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have one backend engineer whose time is precious therefore. Retool has allowed him to focus on features rather than infrastructure and design.

Very Useful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to spin up demos, prototypes, etc. As a backend engineer, my frontend skills are not the best, so retool is really useful for wrapping apis and DBs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was some vsCode integration or something. I find it's really easy to setup simple demos, but then once I want to make some bigger changes it gets a bit cumbersome, compared to how I would change code in a vsCode project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using retool for demos, and internal applications. It increases are speed of development, because we don't have to worry about spinning up frontend infra. The DB tool is useful, and all the resource integrations are really easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Retool has made it incredibly easy for our team to build tools that integrate seamlessly with our API. Even our product team members, who don't have a technical background, can create powerful tools with minimal effort. The platform is both powerful and highly customizable, allowing us to tailor solutions to our specific needs. It's a game-changer for internal operations. Highly recommended for teams looking to empower non-technical users to build and manage their own applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of support for branches complicates the release process. Managing different versions and deploying updates can be challenging without proper version control, which limits flexibility and adds risks to production changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building internal tools without needing extensive coding knowledge. It allows our non-technical teams, especially in product, to create custom tools that integrate directly with our API. This significantly reduces the dependency on developers for creating and maintaining internal tools. The benefit is a faster turnaround for internal tool development, enabling more autonomy for our teams and freeing up developer time for more complex tasks

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less effort development prototypes and tooling for internal teams

What do you like best about the product?
I love how I as a product manager am able to ship internal tools end to end with minimal dependancy on the rest of my team. This is a total game changer as the rest of the team is able to work on high impact user facing value and I can help to cover the internal usecases - which I also understand better than them anyway.
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst thing about Retool is the fact it often leads to a lot of additional tech realestate which if not managed carefully can lead to tech debt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retool makes shiping internal tooling 100x faster and less annoying. Ultimately this translates to higher productivity of our teams.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about using Retool is how seamlessly it allows us to consume services from different APIs and tools. The built-in integrations significantly speed up the development process, making it incredibly efficient to build and deploy applications. Additionally, I really enjoy the GitHub integration, which simplifies version control and collaboration, and the fact that I don’t have to worry about hosting the application on my own servers is a huge plus.

Retool is solving the challenge of building and maintaining a complex back-office application that needs to interface with multiple APIs and databases. By providing a platform with pre-built components and seamless API integrations, Retool allows us to quickly develop and iterate on our back-office tools. This application is used daily by tens of employees, and the speed at which we can roll out updates and new features is crucial to maintaining our operational efficiency. The iteration speed when building an app is what I like most with retool.
I build a first draft instead of writing a product specification, then the users test it and I can instantly modify or rebuild it the way the user prefers.

That there is no way of separating creators and end users in a good way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retool is solving a lot of lower priority feature requests which are cruital for the organization but that the tech team cannot work on right now.

A very convenient tool
What do you like best about the product?
It makes the process of building internal data management tools incredibly easy, and lets us offload tasks to our customer support and account management teams with very little friction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Viewing the internal functionality of an app isn't the most intuitive process, especially if it's an app somebody else has built so you have no familiarity with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to create small and simple tools and dashboards that non-technical people in the organization can use to access data and account management functionality.
