Retool is a great tool for streamlining the development of internal tools.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Retool is the built in support for so many disparate data sources. It is easy to implement support tools for the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be resource constraints when dealing with large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have various legacy systems that Retool can combine on a common dashboard
Easiest way to build your internal retool, from small to big application
What do you like best about the product?
Retool has a lot of built in functionalities, can connect to any db setup, even works with graphql.
Once you have your DB connected, building an application is simple and straightforward. Just drag the componenet we need and the configure it with some help of javascript.
Truly recommend for company that are building internal tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
to spport more and more components in the future
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For building internal tool, it usually takes at least one UI and one Backend engineer, with the help of retool, UI engineer can quickly drag basic components and start writing javascript to make it happen.
Backend can provide an entry point like GraphQL to connect to DB data easily.
I believe in the long run, you can also use retool to build a CRM system.

Great took
What do you like best about the product?
Retool is very efficient and it organizes the information I need pretty well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes longer than I want it to to generate the information that I need. I also don't love that a new window pops up when I'm generating my info.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retool is helping generate a list that would otherwise and manually take a very long time to put together.
Development made easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it enables non technical to code
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way they support the enterprise customers, there should be a support portal for different priorities of tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retool solves the coding gap and it enables everyone to start building the products
Positive Retool experience based on customizability and responsiveness.
What do you like best about the product?
Retool has enabled me to quickly and seamlessly perform business-critical operations in minutes instead of hours! Customizable and responsive, i'm a massive fan.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software can have unintended actions, for which i need to engage our technical team to troubleshoot.

Allowing us to perform business-critical actions autonimously.
Convenient, low-code platform to build apps
What do you like best about the product?
Retool is a very convenient tool that allows you to easily build user-friendly interfaces and integrate them with API requests for fully functioning applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features may be a little difficult to navigate/
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use to build applications that allow our non-technical Customer Support Agents to interact with our backend endpoints and change customer data whenever necessary.
Fast, flexible, but costly when scaling
What do you like best about the product?
The drag-and-drop interface is super intuitive, so our team can quickly design and tweak apps without getting bogged down in front-end coding. The integrations are a huge time-saver; we can connect our databases and APIs seamlessly, which means less time on setup and more time actually building. Plus, I love that Retool isn’t restrictive—you can add custom code whenever you need, which lets us tailor apps to our exact needs rather than being limited to rigid templates. Overall, great tool to get started, super easy to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can get expensive, especially if you need multiple users working on applications simultaneously. Mobile responsiveness could be improved. Currently, it works best for desktop applications, so if you’re looking to build mobile-friendly tools, it may not be the best option out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve used Retool primarily for building dashboards and tools that streamline our operations, such as data management, CRM, and inventory tracking. The time saved by using Retool compared to traditional development has been significant. It’s become a core part of our internal tools ecosystem, helping us improve productivity and allowing our team to respond quickly to business needs.
Turning Support Into Technical Experts
What do you like best about the product?
Creating on the fly internal tools that integrates with every aspect of our infrastructure. This helps empower our support users and anyone else to resolve our clients' issues. And it speeds up the development process of internal tools. It is used daily in all over our operations to support the support team as a tech expert and SME.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is designed for engineers and the permissions, controls, and organization can be overwhelming for users or non-tech savvy users to build on their own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping build rapidly deployed internal tools in the span of minutes for non-technical users.

What do you dislike about the product?
The IDE for programming (Javascript, SQL, Python) lacks many features. It isn't able to catch simple bugs like infinite loops, and there are no keyboard shortcuts (from what I can tell). VS Code integration is an option but it did not work for me, so I ended up having to copy paste changes in every time -- not fun.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing user-friendly and modern-looking tools to be made quickly.
