Creating dashboards using IBM Cognos makes everyone to understand the problem statement easily and useful to create more insights from the dashboard.

Versatile Analytics Tool with Robust Reporting Features
What do you like best about the product?
IBM Cognos Analytics offers a comprehensive suite of tools for reporting, data visualization, and dashboard creation. I appreciate how it integrates with various data sources, which makes it easier to connect and analyze complex data sets. The drag-and-drop interface for building reports is intuitive, even for users with minimal technical experience. Its AI-assisted recommendations for visualizations are also a nice touch, speeding up the process of turning raw data into actionable insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the tool is powerful, the learning curve can be steep, particularly for new users unfamiliar with business intelligence platforms. Performance can lag with very large datasets, and the initial setup for data connections can be cumbersome. Additionally, it would be great if there were more customization options for visualizations, as the default templates sometimes feel limited.

IBM Cognos Analytics is solving key challenges around data integration, reporting, and visualization across multiple data sources. One major issue it addresses is the difficulty of consolidating data from various systems to create unified reports. With its powerful data connectors, Cognos allows seamless integration of multiple data streams, providing a single source of truth for our reporting needs.

Some reports take a long time to run (some take more than 2h)

Using SQLs to make a report without going through a package is quite interesting because we don't have everything in a package

IBM Cognos Analytics really makes data analysis easy. It has a simple and easy to use interface that helps creating reports and visualizing data super simple. Cognos is a perfect choice for any business looking to get more insights from their data.

Best place to start business analytics and data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Fast, effective and easy to create visuals, best part is forecast analytics and insights generated based on data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slow interaction when using screen share during virtual meetings. My demos are not effectively conveyed. When use full screen screen share doesn't show.

What do you like best about the product?
is how easy it makes creating reports and dashboards, even for someone without a technical background.
What do you dislike about the product?
it can feel a bit slow or complex at times, especially when dealing with larger datasets or more advanced features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us a lot with a very robust report that we had in Excel, which included the entire unified operation for both sales and production, also generating health reports for the commercial area.

Ease of use , comparahensive and securety structure. Ability to add jscripts to further customize outputs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Due to pricing, entended for large corporate, while it should hold a tailored product to server smaller busiesses with restructured pricing scheme for that category.
I would also suggest using a "tool service" to communicate data status with end users outside of the official emails.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly reporting for field managers and department managers.
Data crunching and data visualization plus AI chatbot
What do you like best about the product?
Data security is tight with Cognos Analytics unlike spreadsheets where there is high risk of losing original data while working in a team. Here each team member gets a different copy such that any change made is limited to his or her edition. Add to it AI chatbot that answers all the queries (even perform mathematical computations) as the query is raised in a simple English like talking to your friend.So no need to write a single piece of SQL query/code. Finally push notification that can send notifications across devices for keeping tab on important deadlines and accomplishments while working in a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cloud version at times can be a bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our data are safe and can be manipulated by each stakeholder from customer to staff to admin with each one given a set of access. Al sorts of data science operations from visualzing patterns in the form of graphs to predicting can be don e without writing a single piece of code.

What do you like best about the product?
I chose this platform because of the quality of the tools, it has very practical functions which allow you to visualize the data efficiently, and there is not only one way to display the loaded data so there is no problem when you want to adapt the data to different ways of implementing the analysis in different areas of my work.
The loading times really surprised me, by this I mean that no matter the size of the data loaded everything will be fast when it comes to starting to configure the visual reports. I have been trying to use other platforms but in none of them I can get the same response time from when the data is loaded to the point where the graphs can be generated.
I like how I can combine several inputs from different sources to generate the reports, with this I can create more detailed reports. The provision of importing different data sources is very useful for me because it allows me to easily generate reports without any problem.

It would be very useful to have a feature that shows a warning when errors are made in the creation of a report and it is not executed, this would help a lot to be able to solve the problem that the loaded database may contain more easily. It would also be nice if they added possible solutions to the problems that are generated.
At first glance, the interface lacks intuitiveness, it requires complete training even if you already have knowledge of data management in SQL to be able to implement said data to this platform, so the lack of intuitive tools made it difficult to be able to navigate within the interface and be effective for data analysis.

IBM Cognos Analytics is quite prevalent in my work environment because the creation of reports is very specific and efficient. We generate reports on the real estate market in order to analyze the possible better property offers and to be able to make a price comparison in order to determine the best option that our clients need. My experience with this tool has been excellent since it is very robust and complete, it has many data analysis features and also AI functions that improve the way in which reports are generated. In addition, collaborating with a work team within this platform has been very simple, thus being to increase productivity.
