What do you like best about the product?
i like the ease and familiarity of the user interface
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the internet browser that you are using might not be compatible. There are certain instances where a developer is required to step in and a user cannot create simple reports. The ease of use if generally true for canned reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are attempting to generate multiple canned and ad-hoc reports for internal and external report purposes as well as drive business decisions.

ease of use and end-user friendly. Like data exploration and dash boarding

limitations with prompting. Performance issues with large dataset

graphics have improved over the years, but still has some ways to go.

Best reporting tool ever used. Performance and slice and dice reporting works just well

Cube building process is little slow. .

Congos is very good reporting tool. The slice and dice works very well and performance is good.
We use it at the port for our capital and operating project data were and to build dashboard

Need to be program all the time. It’s not built in. But we can costumize to our company needs.

There is nothing I don't like . But I feel there is scope for improvement in training programs for first time implentation and integration.

Great flexibility when designing dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve when initially trying to get up to speed. Training resources were okay.

Creating automated performance dashboards.
IBM is failing with Cognos Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Cognos Analytics has a lot of features they are trying to expand their functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
It has alot of problems, the legacy authoring tool is broken since the new UI roll out, the new dashboard feature does not have alot of options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM cognos is a staple at allot of business intelligence depts in many large enterprises, unfortunately it has not aged well and is a laggard in business analytics software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would stay away from this software it is not as good as Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI from microsoft

This application is very easy to use both for the developers and the business users. With new functionality, it is efficient .

The dashbord development is something i am not in favour of with this application.
