What a great learning platform!

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that they've taken streaming video content and expanded it to a comprehensive learning platform. I'm hopeful that roleiq will be used for good and not force ranking companies engineering talent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are aspects of roleiq that make my skin crawl. I think it's a great tool for an individual to see where they're skills could be improved in relation to their responsibilities. But I think it's only a matter of time before this data makes its way into compensation decision making.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The courses are broken into amazingly small chunks that are easy to use to fill small bits of downtime. I also love the way paths can help a learner stay focused on specific topic

Great content, could due with some updated material

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The videos, the supplemental material, all great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The assessments are not truly representative.

Content is could use updating. Ex: If I search for iOS development/Swift is a rapidly changing area and Pluralsight's content hasn't been updated in over a year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pluralsight made getting spun up on Ruby on Rails a breeze.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In general the material they have is great, just evaluate if your needs are covered by their offerings first.

A great enterprise learning experience

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how users can create channels and share them with friends. This is a great way to create a training plan for new hires in companies. Managers can create their own curriculum for new team members without the extra fluff.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, my experience has been good. The only thing that come to mine is it's hard to see someone's profile. For example, on some pages I couldn't click on my manager's profile icon to see what other courses he's done or created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training and orientation is much smoother. I'm watching courses that my manager wants and saves time from endless Google searches for tutorials.

What do you like best about the product?
Quality and shortness of the videos are beyond anything else out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough electrical and mechanical material for my team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid skill development in software, IT, and leadership skills.

What do you like best about the product?
I feel the authors of Pluralsight courses explain material in a clear, concise manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the price to use Pluralsight, but my company pays for it so I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of coding best practices and unit tests have been a focus lately. I've learned valuable skills and am learning how to implement unit tests properly.

Pluralsight helps me a lot in keeping abreast with the latest & greatest Technology

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a plethora of Courses on pluralsight, some of which are just introductory courses which just scratch the surface of a technology and other are very complex deep dive sessions, if you are looking to become expert in a technology. I like these options a lot because even though I like to be an expert in the major technology I am working on, I would like to just skim through the features and capabilities which are being offered in the cutting edge technologies, which lets me be current with the technology trends
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its hard to find the courses you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company was moving towards using react library for building UI components and I went through the react path to make myself familiarize with the library which helped me in building cool UI stuff for the company.

PluralSight is a good learning tool with a variety of content at various depths

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of content with different areas to dive deep in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe make some of the "skill iq's" a little more difficult. I got a good score on something that I don't think I should have (CSS)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training our associates on new technologies that we're using. As well as security basics.

Most versatile, verbose, and up to date platform

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whatever I need to learn, I can find a related course quickly that's subdivided into quick segments between 2 and 15 minutes long. Works great on any platform, and partners well with my company. I can always depend on the topic I need being available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Entry cost can be a little expensive for anyone that's a casually interested or their company doesn't pay/provide a license for them. Authors can sometimes not be very engaging and it's difficult to stay focused. I wouldn't mind if I could look up FAQs on a language and find a quick 5 minute video on it without entering a whole series to look for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Typically just in learning. I don't know something that Stack Overflow can't fix, this I enter Pluralsight to relearn the basics I must've missed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use your trial period first and make sure it's right for you.

  • August 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The wide variety of technical subjects. The new RoleIQ looks really great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see some more courses about QA and QA automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping current with technical trends. It's a very easy platform for my developers to learn things on.
