CJ Bergs is the best!
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing customer support! We have been working with CJ Bergs on SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO certifications. She has been phenomenal! She has ensured that we are aware and informed about everything we need to complete and answered any questions we've had quickly and in a way we can easily understand. The Scytale platform is easy to use, has many great features, and keeps us on track to reach our goals quickly and thoroughly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been very satisfied with the tool and have had no notable problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be certified with SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO. Scytale is making sure we do so in a thorough and timely manner.

A good tool for SOC2/ISO compliance
What do you like best about the product?
The tool integrated quite well into our ecosystem.
The account manager/customer support was great (CJ Bergs) -> super proactive, understanding and always willing to help.

What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit high but that's kinda expected for this.
The policy editor could use some lovel -> not being able to add comments to the exact words/lines is a bit annoying.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We got our SOC2/ISO270001 compliance done through them.
I honestly can't image doing certification compliance without Scytale
What do you like best about the product?
The Account Manager CJ is super helpful and a real pro. The tool itself is a tremendous help alone, but she really goes the next mile in order to help us. I use it every day and honestly we probably wouldn't get certified without it at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The policies editor is really bad - we ended up doing all of them in Google Docs instead. I think integrating Google Docs would do a much better service. I'd also appreciate if the policy templates were available throughout the whole process, not just att the beginning.
I'd also appreciate a higher level of integration. For example the Inventory Assets and RBAC - all those data are already in the system and it's a nightmare to need to fill a ton of spreadsheets.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to get SOC2 and ISO27001 certification. Scytale provides that almost completely.
Very smooth sailing towards an ISO-certification
What do you like best about the product?
The combination of a software based dashboard, automated fetching of required informations and the amazing human guidance from our success manager Mischa made this certification a really easy process.
The dashboasrd helps to stay focussed on the important parts, the recurring tasks make it easy to stay on top of the process also in betwen the certifications so that evidence-fetching and uploading becomes a part of the daily routine and not one huge burden shortly before the certification.
And with the help of our success manager we always knew what the next important steps are to focus on so that we could not waste valuable time on unnecessary tasks. This was a truely amazing experience that helped us tremendously focusing on the important things and made the whole process feel like a short and entertaining stroll.
The software also allowed us to get a good overview over our processes and risks and also makes it easy to keepp that up to date and stay on top of everyting in between certifications.
In addition to all that scytale was really great and helpful with the feedback we provided them on the software and a lot of that feedback actually made its way into the product when it made sense.

Working with Scytale was always positive! The things that we thought could improve the software were either explained why it doesn'T make sense or actually were improved. So no negative side!

We wanted to get ISO27001 certified. Scytale helped us with that and made the process absolutely easy

The combination of an actual product that helps to save time and effort with professional services like our GRC manager Mischa Boddenberg that helps to expedite things even more.

I could have used more integration with 3rd party tools in order to automate the evidence collection event more

Mainly reusablitiy, the fact that I can reuse a lot of the work I did in some compliance framework in others is very important.

Friendly and expert guidance
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale's platform was very nice to use. It provided all the structure and organisation we needed to tackle our compliance goals in one place. The integrations and automated evidence collection and mapping was a great feature and saved us a lot of time and effort. The best part however was the friendly and expert guidance we received from our compliance manager Mischa Boddenberg. He was a wealth of knowledge and support and has been invaluable on our compliance journey! Thanks Mischa!
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to tag ppl in comments if we wanted them to get an email notification which meant sometimes ppl didn't see comments if someone forgot to tag them. This was a minor issue which can hopefully be fixed at some stage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't know where to begin with compliance before and felt we were really out of our depth. Using Scytale helped get us organised and laid out our compliance journey into small achievable steps. Having all the tools and documents we needed in one place made managing everything much more straightforward too.
Scytale helped us to get our SOC2 Type 2.

Get ready for SOC2 Type 2 audits.
Professional interactions with steady progress and quick followup of any issues. Solid experience.
What do you like best about the product?
Standard work flow. Ronan layed out the process in an easy to understand way and we moved efficiently from step to step without confusion.

The only potential issue was time zone differences however this had little impact on us as we found a time slot that worked for all partners.

Making the compliancy process easy
What do you like best about the product?
The platform takes a lot of manual labour out of your hands and together with our CSM Mischa it's been a very smooth process to get our compliancy on track. Mischa has a lot of knowledge about the process and requirements and helps us getting ready for the audit. It's great to see the ongoing development of the platform with new features being released to make things easier for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform still has some rough edges but they're clearly working on it. We were hoping for a few more integrations to get started but they are at least on the roadmap and being worked on.
