Intuitive and beautiful!
What do you like best about the product?
I love Canva. It is, without a doubt, the most intuitive and accessible image editing program I've ever worked with. For quick, beautiful social shares and blog graphics, Canva wins, hands down.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filters and collage features leave something to be desired, so I still rely on Pixlr for those elements when I need them. The filters are limited and fake-looking and the collages are clunky and weird to work with. It's also a little frustrating that you have to upload each image you want to use into a database before importing it into the image you're creating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to create graphics for social media promotion and blog posts so much faster and with a much more professional polish than before. I've even used it to create ads with great results.

Great and easy tool for building your brand on social media!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use canva. I am not an design artist so this tool is a life saver! I think the average user can figure out canva rather quickly and the software has lots of options! I have taught a couple of non-tech people how to use Canva and they pick it up rather quickly. I also like the amount of pictures and ready made designs. Also, great customer service too!
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish some of the paid features were free. Also wish there were more font options available for the free version of the site. I don't currently use the paid version so I wish there were a few more free more options available for the free version of the site. Perhaps if there were more explanation as to why I might need the paid version and make it worth the monthly cost, I may consider upgrading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to quickly grow our online presence. We have been working on a solution that allows a non-designer to produce designs that reflect our brand and can be used across all the different social media platforms. Using Canva to create visuals for our social media platforms has helped increase our reach!
Simple to use! Beautiful pictures and graphics in no time!
What do you like best about the product?
I use Canva every day! Sure, it's not as robust as photoshop, but when you know what you're doing, it saves so much time and can produce some stunning images. You can even save money because unless you need to get crazy with design work, you won't need to buy a photoshop license.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the saved product does not match what you see on the screen. I've never been able to figure out why. Sometimes text or objects just won't align in the finished product the way it does on the screen. This can cause some serious frustration. I also wish there were a few more features, like color sampling and seamless resizing. But, for a free product, Canva is a gift!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We save time and money and are able to create beautiful images that display nicely across social media and our blogs. These images help our brand look more polished and consistent and help us drive engagement online.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the free design school so that you get the most out of the tool. It's not as robust as photoshop, but it can do a lot and save you some time. All the free elements are free! Premium elements and photos are just $1 each, so pay attention to what you're using. You can also upload your own photos to use at any time. Save images as jpeg, png, and pdf.
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the variety of templates, and the ability to make custom templates as I choose. There are a lot of great free backgrounds, photos, etc. Even though I don't typically use those backgrounds, I can see how useful they would be. I really appreciate that I can make an identical promotional ad for my gift shop and use it on multiple social media outlets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Canva is that, for all the empty templates they have, I seem to want one that doesn't exist. Making a page that isn't one of the default template grids is a bit tricky. I usually end up working within a given grid, and it looks great. If I could have a completely blank grid and drop in photos and text with complete control over their shape and size, I would love it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to quickly make very professional looking social media posts - for free! It has been a huge time saver, and helps me keep things streamlined across my different media channels. I use it a lot to make promotional ads for our gift shop, and I can easily and quickly make the same ad, formatted for three different social media outlets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it! It's pretty easy to get familiar with, and gives you a lot of options once you're comfortable navigating the system. There are also some very useful interactive tutorials that pop up the first few times you log in, and they make sure you are headed in the right direction. Once you learn to upload your own photos and find a font that works for you, you can make lots of ads easily and they look professional and consistent. There are additional options inside the system that you can purchase, but the freebies are typically more that you need already. It's free, it's easy, so give it a go.
Love designing graphics!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can go to canva and design a custom graphic in minutes that looks like I paid a designer hours to design. I love the style and choices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't search out a specific graphic that is free. When I type in an icon or a picture that I know canva has for free, it only brings up paid graphics or images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am completely changing the face of how I advertise to students and families online and in print.

Try it and fall in love!
Impeccable Content Creation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love that this web app allows a user to save content branding colors and fonts. I also love that the web use is drag and drop and very easy when it comes to the learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the price for the professional version. For someone who is an entrepreneur it is a bit expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving my needs for creating awesome visual content. Also, one major benefit I have realized is that there is an optimal business account that has substantial use abilities such as saving color branding.
Great way to speed up images for social media.
What do you like best about the product?
The templates for standard social media posting sizes including headers, banners, posts, etc. for most of the common sites. It saves me a lot of time in having to look up the dimensions for each when using a more traditional graphics program like photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The over all power of the program isn't as much as the Adobe ones I'm used to, and it's a little annoying when using the free version that your features are limited... but honestly I haven't found any really bad sides to it as long as you are using it for something within it's scope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to quickly and easily make several matching images for a new announcement across platforms is a big help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! The free version alone is plenty for many needs, and the pay version is quite affordable. It's especially nice that you can get to know the program for free before decided to move on to the premium version. For my needs it is one tool in my arsenal, but I could see it easily being the primary tool in some kinds of businesses.
Absolutely Love This Site
What do you like best about the product?
Canva has been a life-saver for my business as a blogger and author. I've been able to quickly and easily design pieces for my blog that make my posts pop on social media. I've also designed ebook covers and promotional pieces for my books that look terrific and professional but have taken very little time to put together. I've upgraded to Canva for Business and it is totally worth the cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Canva has so many templates and designs already, I always want more. I would particularly like to see more ebook cover designs and I'd like a good way to design a CreateSpace book cover (front, back, and spine) on Canva.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I probably would have spent ten times the cost of Canva for Business if I'd had to hire a designer to do all the pieces I've done quickly and easily on Canva. It's saved me a lot of money and time and it's given me total control over my products.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. You will be amazed at how easy it is to use and the wide range of products you can design for little or not cost.
very practical, I do not need a designer.
What do you like best about the product?
Interface intuitive, very practcal and ofer many options of contente.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is too expensive for the real need that it meets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to create simple images with text, but i have not knowledge s of design. This app helped a lot.
Loved Canva, Until it Broke
What do you like best about the product?
Our team faithfully used Canva for all kinds of projects. It allowed us to quickly and easily create beautiful, professional-looking designs using awesome templates, our fonts and color schemes. That is until about two - three months ago, when it started slowing down and stalling.
We were working through that, until this month, when it flat out broke. It's not just on one computer either - my boss is in Atlanta, I am in New York. She uses Google Chrome on PC, I use Chrome on a Mac. We've both tried desperately, even had our IT team try, it doesn't matter, it simply doesn't work at all. It doesn't matter what we do, when we log into our existing designs, one of three things happens: 1) all text is missing (accept annoyingly, when you download it) 2) I try to add text and it crashes, or 3) does not allow any editing of the text.
It has truly resulted in our marketing operations coming to an abrupt halt, and I don't even want to think about the time and money this has cost us. Our sales team is on top of us about marketing collateral for a newly launched brand that we haven't been able to complete. We've spent countless hours filing support tickets, writing emails, even tweeting, only to be told "everything is fine on our end" by support. Very disappointing. We have held out and worked so hard to get things fixed because 1) when it works its great and 2) switching will take a herculean effort after a year of using it. I don't even know how long it will take to re-design all of the assets we have in Canva in a new platform. We've been forced to use a combo of Piktochart, Photoshop and Snaggit in the meantime, even though Piktochart is really best for infographics, not the kinds of collateral we were creating in Canva.
I really love Canva and was super patient, but it's been two months of this now; I think their user base has grown fast and the company has simply not been able to keep up. Very disappointing. If you do use it, don't use the paid version, it doesn't get you any better support or help.

What do you dislike about the product?
Slowness of designs loading, stalling out.
No longer recognizes the fonts I uploaded - when I try to add text says "error, report to Canva."
Error every time I attempt to add text - of any kind, our fonts, their fonts...
When it does allow me to add text, the menu that usually appears with options to change size/font is missing.
When the user on our company account left the company, we were not able to transfer the account, to myself or my boss. Now, when we file support tickets responses go to the employee that left. We have to say in the ticket "please cc my address" because its impossible to update the email on the account. Error message every time. Their support team did tell us this is because the email we tried to change it to was linked to another account, so this issue could be our fault, but I'm not sure why they don't say that is the case in the error message.
Missing text in existing designs, shows screen as blank in Canva, but if I download design the text is there (how am I supposed to edit the text in Canva if it is invisible)
Takes a long time in general to load, randomly will take like 20 minutes to move an object from right side of page to left. Once created an ebook that took about 8 hours to make minimal changes on.
Does not display well in browser - designs get scrunched - although honestly I could deal with that, not a huge deal.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously helped us design professional looking support collateral, branding/design, product marketing pieces, social media images and ads. If they can fix the above, I would give a glowing review, but the product is simply not delivering on its basic promises at this point, and support has been unable to help us despite many communications back and forth.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would wait until their development team gets it together.
