Fast and easy to adopt
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of algolia is fantastic, we send data and it syncs quickly. Responses are in milliseconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out how to do database syncing is tricky. We have somewhat realtime information we need to send and sometimes indexing speeds are >10 seconds which is a bummer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ultimately we are using algolia for global search. We're also using it for a few landing pages for users to browse their items.

Best search service for eCommerce and Corporte sites
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia provides a richer search experience and is easy to integrate and configure every aspect of it. You won’t find a competitor that beats the speed, ease of integration and support you receive easily our favorite SaaS out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the Pricing model, which at times can be confusing due to search unit calculations and scale economy variations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search results mainly. Algolia makes a great job out of the box at correcting typos, synonyms and complex search terms. Another thing to point out is its great admin tool with speedy adoption times.
Really simple to use, very efficient. Works perfectly with Firebase.
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity (connection with Firebase), the documentation, and the UI / UX
What do you dislike about the product?
The indications about the price. We don't know if we pay the records each month, we don't have a simulator in order to estimate the cost in production.

Problem solved: Auto completion search

Very fast and powerful search with integrated enhancement tools and client side examples
What do you like best about the product?
So far is the speed and exposed API to update the indexes and settings. It's search on steroids and a very powerful tool to add to your website or admin backend
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing that I could point out with a dislike tone. In further reviews, the dashboard could be improved to be more user-friendly for newcomers. But as it works perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is resolving autosuggest smart search fields and adding speed independently of the server load. Even if it would be implemented on our side would be hard to reach that response speed.
The best way to add search to a static site
What do you like best about the product?
I added Algolia to a Vuepress site. It was incredibly easy and straightforward. I had the search up and running in less than a couple of hours with great quality results.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout and navigation of the site are a bit confusing. I had a hard time understanding how to navigate between the profile, index, and crawler UIs. The UI can benefit from improved cohesive navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up a custom search instance is complicated, time-consuming and error-prone. Using Algolia I was able to have the search up and running almost immediately without having to manage servers or infra.
Easy Set-Up and Supportive Customer Success Team
What do you like best about the product?
We are using Algolia for a search proof of concept. After signing up, the customer success team reached out to me to offer help. They were very helpful, pointing me to some open source synonym dictionaries that I could use in my project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to experience any downsides to Algolia, it has been very nice to work with so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searching a Firestore database of existing contacts to ensure the integrated apps can not introduce a duplicate entry. To do this, we are leveraging synonym dictionaries, typo detection and geo-location proximity filters.
I have been using algolia for a long time now, their search engine is really good in terms of speed.

Everything about Algolia is really great, they are doing a really great job in every aspect.

It helped me in saving a lot of time by not having to code a search engine myself and for starters, they have a really great free plan wherein I was able to test out all the things properly before adopting it completely.

Easy to configure and implement in Web and Mobile Apps. Results are very fast.

Licensing model - It becomes expensive when search requests increase as it charges on each search request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our previous search was quite slow and the results were not personalized. With Algolia search results are coming in milliseconds and they are relevant.
Outstanding Search Service
What do you like best about the product?
The built-in integration with Laravel Scout and Algolia.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large models must be chunked into multiple components.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Laravel and Algolia we were able to very quickly implement a full-featured incredibly responsive search solution for our web application with analytics, reporting, and backend features like synonym salting.
