What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the service. The seamless integration using Docusaurus V2.
What do you dislike about the product?
The not so easy integration with Github actions to run docker containers of Algolia Docsearch scraper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a docsearch on my website so that I can easily look for sections/paragraphs.

What do you dislike about the product?
We face some minor difficulties in Indices creations, in addition more advanced reports can be exported from Algolia dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many problems can be solved with Algolia specially when you have a huge number of products (millions). and you need to choose the elite products for communication.

Easy to create and manage indexes, many features and great documentation. Also very good support

Control panel sometimes has me lost. A bit on the complicated side, but then again there are so many customisable features...

Searching through thousands of products for our customer's e-shops. Actually has increased sales!

If you need instant search with many customisation options and good support, Algolia is the right tool for you.

Very easy to set up, no maintenance needed from our side. Efficient and easy to adapt a ranking formula. Extremely fast search results. We tried to implement on iconscout.com. Here is a sample link: http://iconscout-search.netlify.app
Algolia is brain-dead simple to set up. I've implemented a search with Algolia in a dozen different ways now, and it never took me longer than a few minutes to get the functionality I want. With Algolia, the only challenge is designing your search UI -- if you don't want to use they are baked in UI solutions.

What do you dislike about the product?
Costs can escalate dramatically when you expand your traffic. Manually manipulating search results (for specific queries having listings show up first) is a bit difficult to do without custom developing that functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any consumer-facing business that needs instant search results for user searches. Excellent fits would be e-commerce solutions and marketplaces. If your traffic is low it is also a relatively cost-effective solution than using your own solution (e.g. elastic search). Perfect for teams that do not have the architectural knowledge to set up their own search solutions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's less appropriate if you can't afford your data being persisted on a cloud service. Also, if the search is a key component of your business I don't believe relying on a third-party service is worth it. Deploying your own Elasticsearch cluster is not that hard of an endeavor and would also save you money.
However, for any other use case, Algolia will save you a lot of time and give your business amazing full-text search capabilities with minimum friction and time.

Amazing platform , easy onboarding , excellent results.

The platform has multiple levels which can be incorporated from the most basic to advanced that don’t require you to decide upfront.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be more industry specific use cases ootb.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how fast the team was able to get search working in our product. It doesn't take long and there are a lot of built-in out of the box features you can roll with. We opted for the custom API driven use which still didn't take long and then to customize was very simple. The reports are really cool and we look forward to the future expansion and personalization features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't too much to not like. I guess the only thing that has me worried is the cost at scale but for our application, that shouldn't be a problem cause the more searching the more revenue it should generate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to help fit our customers into the right product. We have over 500 SKU's and getting the customer the product they are looking for quickly and easily would normally be a challenge but we just dumped in everything to Algolia and then built some facets around it and it's a great solution and took our small team no time to implement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend giving it a try as it will save you time and money implementing something on your own. It has very powerful features and the time you save and features you have access to will be worth the cost.
Generally good search engine

Good search engine, integrates nicely with react. Awesome dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Algolia logo on free version. Limits are exchausted pretty quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for my personal blog, benefits - I see what users are looking for, also search is pretty good compared to lunr search.

Prepare to do some UX work to integrate it seamlessly.
