This amazing software for network monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
I like this software because it provides high quality reports and monitoring. We can find out exactly where communication problems between machines / servers are occurring. It has a friendly interface and easy handling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a very complete program, I believe that for small businesses it would be a high cost. When I worked in the telecom area of the company (big company), I did not find any kind of negative point in this wonderful software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to know everything that goes on within the company network and to detect the problems and which solutions to take.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend the use of this software as it provides all kind of report of the internal network of the company. It is extremely easy to use and has high quality support. Once again I would recommend for you user / administrator to use this program because you will have everything in the hands of the highest quality program.

Solarwinds has taken us to the next level
What do you like best about the product?
SolarWinds does a great job delivering great storage options to MSPs for bundling and deliverability to their IT customers. The best part is that we can easily tell our customers exactly what they are going to get for their money. Everyone is happy!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Solarwinds had a better tool for analytics and reporting on the financial and operational side. It can me a pain to always export the data in annoying spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to scale SolarWinds storage solution to accommodate just one computer to an entire feel of endpoints.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should strongly consider SolarWinds Storage solutions if you are a managed service provider. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
An amazing tool
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about this product is that it provides a complete solution for monitoring and analyzing data. Librato offers various services that help to understand the data and offers wonderful visualizations. Additionally, it provides services that can provide activity alert notifications on various metrics when processing is performed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The collaboration of the Librato team is not very good from what I've heard. The team works independently and often provides less frequent updates. It would be difficult if the client has a client to respond to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for configuration and data analysis in a group setting. I would do it in a research lab, so we use this application to consolidate and review data from the entire lab. It was an easier transition in learning since some of the lab members had been using the application for some time before the rest of us started using it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My company chose this product because it met the client's requirements. I can't say it will be the same with your company as well. There are many products on the market that offer a similar service. I would greatly recommend conducting proper research before considering this product.
Configuration and management of Solarwinds for Enterprise services
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use: in a nutshell it's robust easy to install configure and very easy to monitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Importing of old files and configuration, such as old Visio portfolios work. Very specific on the requirements. For us at least making us do a lot of work from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the baseline for capture and continuously monitoring out environment. Automated alerts call technicians in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool with a large feature set. I would recommend it for large companies.

The best thing that i like and recommend to other people is possible to monitor all the system from the company and verify what is going on with the link

One of the thing that i really do not like about the SolarWinds software is necessity of use strong machines to execute the program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some business problems that i am solving with SolarWind is find easily some problem in the internetwork. And the software are giving a lot of benefits for the enterprise like monitor all that happen in the network company in real time.

Device tracker makes tracking our 15k user devices easy!
What do you like best about the product?
We are a very large organization with over 15,000 employees across 150 sites. We use SolarWinds User Device Tracker UDT to actively monitor our user's devices in real time. The information is constantly update automatically and we can use it to locate, IP, Mac Address, and last logged in user. With this information we can easily locate a device and see who last logged into and where it exists on our network usually down to the port it's connected to. If we can locate the port, we can take the Mac Address and locate where it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we don't have anything that we do not like about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes locating a device that could be slowing down our network quick and easy. If needed we can locate where it is on our network and disable it quickly to stop it from slowing our business.

The goal is to increase Business value by reducing the downtime and increase application performance.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan for what you are planning to monitor and what are the threshold levels. Its a bit trial and error for every organization but works like a charm after!

* A bit complex and confusing after using Nagios primarily for the past 10 years

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using SAM for monitoring applications and processes on Windows and Linux servers. It's been great to visualize and track performance issues.

Proactive monitoring to avoid future issues.
Good value for the money
What do you like best about the product?
Solarwinds is our main network management and monitoring platform, and NTA is a part of it. Netflow is a essential part of network analysis and troubleshooting, so NTA does what is supposed to do. It also provides more information like CBQoS, which is completely different from netflow but it does help, not many tools offer that option. NTA also drills down to conversations to get specific details about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
NTA has issues with some forms of flow packets that they claim to be compatible, like cflowd. Also, it is not possible to aggregate conversations or traffic from multiple sources, something that you can do with its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netflow analysis not only helps to troubleshoot and get specific data, it also provides our Information Security team a source of data to find or detect anomalies in our network traffic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It gives you a lot of value for what you pay, but it's getting behind the competition. There are more advanced and not expensive netflow tools in the market. If netflow is the only feature you need it's best to look at other options.
