SolarWinds is just okay.
What do you like best about the product?
I do like the auto generated ticketing feature that it sends to us when a site is offline.
What do you dislike about the product?
After the change of the web layout, it’s difficult to find the information needed as it was before. We are now unable to see which SW/port a device is on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us determine and verify the source of a network issue.

Simplified Network Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, good GUI, lightweight, all the devices can be monitored at once
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes time to load, User Experience can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my office, it is used to monitor Network Devices. It is very useful toh view all the devices in all the region and monitor them all at once.

SolarWinds Server and Application Monitor is a systems administration tool particularly for medium to large type of organisation, edge with to auto-finding nodes and gadgets.
SolarWinds packages include the Server and Application Monitor and offer more comprehensive monitoring capabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
Custom application takes lot of time and some times the performance is really slow specially the UI after adding couple of hundred nodes. create rules to limit our false positives alerts can be really hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
with SIngle pane of glass monitoring We are able to see the issue right away with SolarWind's real time monitoring capability and act upon it

NOC team and provide them a tool to use to monitor our locations and provide white glove service when an incident does occur.

às vezes, não diz exatamente onde está o problema nos logs e eu tenho que ir a diferentes equipes para olhar seus logs no sistema para determinar onde está o problema.

É o melhor produto que já usei. Eu realmente gosto do Pingdom, que é usado na nuvem da SolarWinds.

UI não é tão bom, eu acho que o vento solar pode se concentrar mais no Painel de Controle.

Escalabilidade e profundidade dos recursos do produto são ótimas. Tem uma ferramenta e conector para quase todas as necessidades. A personalização é superior a outros produtos.

Custo proibitivo. Difícil de configurar e há uma curva de aprendizado acentuada para novos usuários e empresas que não têm funcionários em tempo integral para se dedicar à ferramenta.
