IBM MFT is good for our use case
What do you like best about the product?
MQ provides a decent solution for file transfers. Transfers are generally fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
MFT seems like a bit of an after thought at times. There are a not a lot of exciting features for MFT announced. We have had issues with bugs and transfers not going through but there doesn't seem to be logs written.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to move many large files across different platforms, data centers, and storage nodes. IBM MQ helps us to do this quickly and securely.

The best in messaging
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly like the robustness of MQ as a messaging solution for diverse applications on multiplatform
What do you dislike about the product?
I love everything that MQ offers and there is nothing that I dislike about MQ
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
INtegration
IBM MQ is a solid and established messaging middleware
What do you like best about the product?
As a 14+ year user of IBM MQ, the feature I like the most is the continuation of features available in the first versions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Beyond the basic functionality (queues, channels, listeners, etc) sometimes IBM MQ is not bug-free. An example is the use of multi-instance queue managers and NFS v4 shared file system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built an elaborate solution for a healthcare customer that uses MQ to carry messages from front-end systems to the back-end. Examples are a message when a patient is admitted to a hospital and when lab results are delivered to a doctor.
Manager of Middleware Services (including MQ)
What do you like best about the product?
We use IBM MQ for critical production workload and has been rock solid. We rarely have to open cases with IBM for support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced Message Security use case seem to be limited and not widely adopted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reliable messaging.

for real time and batch messaging without message loss
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ease of use , gurentted delivery , no failures and compatible with mnost of leading produts and clouds
MQ Possibility
What do you like best about the product?
When we looked into using MQ with our B2B Integrator setup, we really liked the speed and throughput it would give us over our traditional file system-based transfer methods. The replay-ability was great and we were really excited about the possiblity of using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
We do a lot of FIFO (98 % of data) and we were unable to get the customer isolation we wanted using MQ and the built in SI FIFO queues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting rid of the use of file systems for transferring data back and forth.
MQ & CICS
What do you like best about the product?
I admire how the MQ application interacts with CICS. Its quite fascinating how the CICS-MQ adapter from CICS communicates with MQ as an external resource manager. With this technology this allows companys to keep track of the millions of CICS transactions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, its a great tool for CICS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None at the Moment
Integration Architect
What do you like best about the product?
Wide platform support to integrate almost any-to-any
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not transform with the industry to support API. Now enterprises are using MQ, but are forced to build custom application layers or use additional products like Datapower and such to provide http endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration into legacy M/F applications and thus leveraging core business apps developed earlier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM should help existing investment to be useful
