Circle CI is good, but needs improvements
What do you like best about the product?
portal is the best feature, the UI really helps get things clear

triggers for files need two workflows and orb usage

automation for CI/CD, benefits us with faster deliverable for product led growth

Circle CI is great but is down too often.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy Integration with our deployments. Great documentation and fair pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downtime is inconvenient and frequent. Often blocks unexpected hotfixes that are not planned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated deployments as opposed to manual. Increase in velocity and testing - It is great that many errors are caught early by circle ci.
Saved a lot of time and Induced a lot of discipline into team.

I feel as though their runners are costing a lot more than if I'd run them myself and I would expect the difference to not be that great

What do you like best about the product?
You can easily figure out which step is blocking the build since you can see details of the whole process. We have notifications in Slack when our Selenium tests are failing which makes more eyes dig into the issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is always something to improve and to make debugging process easier and faster. Of course, improving velocity will be a great lift and will make CI processes more pleasant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Debugging issues, which tests are failing, what should be fixed in order to be built. Merging conflicts > What code should be updated in order to avoid unpleasant surprises
Simplified Development for our Team
What do you like best about the product?
Two things: simplified the development for our team, and allowed us to test in multiple environments and visually see the progress of the environments
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to always remember to tear down our branches manually. This is tedious because at times one forgets. If this process can be streamlined, that would be great

Simplifying the software development lifecycle - with this, one can easily setup pipelines and deploy and see the changes made, instead of having to share servers
Best Platform for managing all our application releases
What do you like best about the product?
Build time is the biggest strength of circleCi. We also can run workflows with SSH which is very helpful. It also gives good notifications regarding the builds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Circleci dashboard is not very intuitive to use. And it is also very slow in term of responsiveness. Also analysing the history of build times and failure reasons are not easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we had is to manage our react native application release. With circle ci we're able to solve the time taken to go through the manual release

The documentation is really helpful and it also gives a detailed overview on all the concepts they have been using so it.makes it easier for me to best use the platform

It takes a while to understand how things work so need.to be patient t and read the documentation carefully
