Been using pager duty as a software engineer for years
What do you like best about the product?
Great mobile app, very reliable, lots of different alert options
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure if this is something in your control, but I'd like to not have to switch my iphone off of silent in order to still get alerts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to catch issues early and be more reliable.

What do you like best about the product?
The rotating schedule feature is awesome. This allows us to not have to worry about changing the contact info each time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We really don't dislike any features. It helps us save time and we can easily resolve a feature via phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have to change the contact info on a number we forwarded to someones cell each rotation. We now have that change automatically based on a call schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This saves us a ton of time and effort each call rotation.

Scheduling and Notifications. Prompt phone calling, Slack integration.

not intuitive to change or create schedules

As an Ambulance company, we need to have 100% uptime. Pager duty helps with prompt responses to issues.

The ease of setting up scheduling for multiple types of rotations (day only, training, etc.)

That I write software that pages at all and I have to get paged

How important scheduling and time management are with PagerDuty teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Notes feature is very difficult to interact with as we use a separate documentation area to track results of pages. When large storms happen, there is no way to aggregate.
Peace of Mind!
What do you like best about the product?
The App and phone calls to my cell phone are the best. If my website goes down I'll get a phone call and the app on my phone will alert me too. Great to have this peace of mind that my sites are being monitored.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downside. Works great!

We're solving the problem of website outages and notifications.

Get it for the alert phone calls and app.

What do you like best about the product?
I am very confident that if I configure my system with Pager Duty I will be alerted when I needed and there will not be any missed alerts.

Configuration at pager duty could have been bit easier and user friendly

Mostly alerting and we have been able to start troubleshooting the issue on time due to no failure in alerting.

Quick email setup from monitoring tools and api for more sophistication
What do you dislike about the product?
Mute function a little challenging to configure confidently.

Tier 1 alerting for team members
If you aren't using pagerduty I don't know what you're doing

We have been using PD for 7 years. WIthout us ever asking they have added features that have made our life easier. Fantastic team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike being woken up at 3am. That's our fault though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the best problems PD solves for us is alerting on non critical but still important services. Being able to delay alerts until business hours.
Great for condensing alerts

PagerDuty allows us to condense all of our monitoring systems to give us a better view of the issues.

I don't really have any real issues with PagerDuty.

We monitor for all types of issues and PagerDuty has allowed to condense alerts and give us a better understanding of what we need to fix so that we can get to the heart of the matter more easily.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty reliable, I have never faced an issue with the app. The app loads up pretty fast and notifies for pages in a pretty timely manner.

What do you dislike about the product?
Considering you are a part of multiple rotations, sometimes it's hard to understand the on-call schedule from the mobile UI. It shows the timeline, but it's hard to understand sometimes.

Really easy to get notified of any outage/issue happening.
