Free and open-source video conferencing software
What do you like best about the product?
Jitsi makes it extremely easy to quickly set up a video meeting and invite people to a call. It's also open source and built on open source technology which makes it secure and possible to extend with plugins.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jitsi is not a single project but rather a foundation involving a number of different interconnected projects. This can make it daunting for beginners who would prefer a simpler, narrower focus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jitsi provides a compelling alternative to Google Meet and Zoom for teams that want to use FOSS software. It also provides a lot of extensibility and integrations with plugins with communication tools like Slack and Matrix that these services usually do not provide. Being open-source also provides a possibility to self-host Jitsi for security and privacy reasons.

Videoconferences instantly
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can connect with my Outlook calendar or Google calendar. Additionally, I can start a meeting immediately because it is easy to use. It is a very useful tool that I use daily to have meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like the web interface, it seems to me that it has a somewhat boring and empty interface. Also, the colors are dark and that is not friendly to the eyes. I would recommend using lighter colors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that in Jitsi I can have everything linked to start my video conference. Also, I feel that it is much simpler and easier to use compared to Skype or Zoom. It benefits me in saving time and having meetings with my clients. It is important to mention that many of the clients already know Jitsi and join the video conferences without problems.
Best tool with multi functionality
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of this software is its open-source video conferencing, and screen presentation which is safe, easy to use, and free. It was very simple to integrate it with my application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Jitsi provides good functional features, some users face issues related to its user interface. Also while using this I faced several issues when I was redirected to the Safari browser on my iPhone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jitsi provides the open-source video conferencing and screen presenting feature which was very helpful for my application. These features significantly improved my application's user experience.
Free platform for video meetings
What do you like best about the product?
It's free to use and I can easily conduct online meeting and interviews by sharing link. It works on both android and windows so we xan attend meeting from mobile also. I can also share my screen and present the file during meetings. We have implemented it few months back and using this on regular basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
For small business it's good to use but we cannot record the meeting and break the rooms for separate meetings. Initial integration with other tools was difficult but i think we can take help from customer support which is highly responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For small business like mine it helps me in video conference and other online meeting as it is free tool to use and I don't need to sign up for this. I can easily host meetings and communicate with other team members which saves my cost and time.
Jitsi is a great way for people to connect through web based video meetings
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to create a new meeting room and the links never expire
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a new update that requires sign-in now and also there are times people will be in the same meeting room but they are unable to see each other. Also customer support is not easy to contact
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jitsi allows our team to be constantly signed in to one meeting room and communicate, it functions similarly to a virtual office
Easy tool to have video conference
What do you like best about the product?
I started using Jitsi while working from home as a conferencing platform to connect with my teammates. I like Jitsy for attending group meetings. Usually we are around 6-10 people. I also like the background change feature in video conferencing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of video when we share screen slightly drops. However, the clarity should be improved while sharing the screen as there is a considerable data consumption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I prefer Jitsi due its ease of use for quick online video conferencing. Likewise, it is a good tool to have one to one calls seamlessly.
Best conferencing with Jitsi
What do you like best about the product?
Jitsi is a very nice platform for connecting with people. The video quality they deliver and the features they have are really nice. Very easy to use and easy to implement. their customer support is also great. You can use this frequently and very easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jitsi is a very great platform. They can work on their logo part which is a bit confusing. The updated logo colors are really great but the old one was a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jitsi is helping us to connect with our customers and other team members. We organize our meeting here. You can have endless meetings on this platform for free. Your data and conversation will be totally safe with Jitsi.
great - but inertia getting other people to use it is troublesome
What do you like best about the product?
It is a really good platform, and clearly very good when it comes to the issue of using it with fewer concerns about privacy and cost than other alternatives. It seems to do the job fine and is as good/bad as any of the other things I have used.
What do you dislike about the product?
People do not know the name, they don't like using new tools, and it seems that the integrations with other things are (probably necessarily) limited.
The biggest of these is that people do not want to download a new thing on their computer/use something they think might be vulnerable. Ironically, the best thing about this (other than maybe the cost) is that people are worried that it could be very vulnerable to someone breaching security or being spied on by an unknown organisation.
Obviously, if you are the only one using it, it is not going to catch on. And, in particular, for organisations, contracts are signed, change is hard, and especially difficult is that no/most system admins do not know it and so do not want to support it.

I have used it in some enlightened organisations who are not happy with the idea of supporting the big players in the field (Zoom, Microsoft, etc.), but that is because people make the effort on ideological matters like this. It solves the same problems as NextCloud and Open Office,, or other open source software (and all the benefits that come with that) can do.
