What do you dislike about the product?
Some features/ bugs could be improved. To be clear, love the tool, this is more of a wishlist :)
- When creating a new workbench/organizer/datalab - Seeq places the workbench in myFolder with the timestamp as a name. Would be good if it would create a prompt to help user place the instance in the right folder and give it an appropriate name. Its easy to forget to name and save it. I have heard feedback from others as well that they spent time analyzing some data but forgot to change the name of workbench, so are having a tough time locating it.
- Workbench with asset trees created from datalab cannot be duplicated. Cannot share a duplicate copy with other users and have to share the working copy.
- Would be great if there was a way to pop-out the formula window or just make it bigger. For some of the complex formula I have had to resort to typing my calculations in notepad and then copy paste it into the tiny formula window. Become quite challenging if the calculation has 10-20 equations.
- Ability to build calculations in asset trees is a nice feature, but it seems to have a few bugs. The calculations have to be always created with first element of the first branch of the tree. Otherwise it doesnt work well.
- Would be great if the user defined function add-on could be more convenient when it comes to creating descriptions. It doesnt seem straight forward when it comes to including some basic formatting for the users.
- It doesnt seem like there is a way to delete user defined functions. I deleted a user defined from add on, but still see it in formula.

Seeq decreases the cost of curiosity
What do you like best about the product?
Seeq is easy to learn. After a 30 minute training, I was reviewing information. Seeq has videos and help guides available to work through challenges. Seeq uses units of measure intelligently and makes the conversions when working with different units in equations. Seeq is easy to make improvements to previous steps of a workflow. For instance, if I'm on step 5 of my workflow and I realize I need to make a change to step 2. Seeq will automatically update all steps after the change is made to step 2. This alone has saved me hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not everyone is using it. It would be alot easier of more colleagues used seeq.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeq helps me compare manufacturing locations and predict energy performance. It's easy to change the location to review a different location. I spend very little time in seeq because he helps me solve problems quickly.
Fantastic Software
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how powerful, scalable, and flexible the software is. The only limit is the user's abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Linking data and calculations between analyses can be deceptively tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeq allows us to have an easy to use and repeatable data visualization tool as well as creating scalable data analytics.
Efficient and powerful tool for process data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Seeq enables process engineers to quickly visualize and analyze process data. I use it every day, and it has become my go-to application for viewing and analyzing trends.
It is far easier to use than Excel / PI DataLink, and contains far more tools to slice and dice process data than PI Vision or ProcessBook. It's ability to quickly filter by process uptime, grade, and run-rate is incredibly powerful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! I sometimes wish the display was a bit more flexible, so that I could arrange trends in a grid format like ParcView or PI Vision. But this is only a minor complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeq is helping me efficiently troubleshoot process-related issues.
Empowers Quick Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I like we can save so much time to gatter and analyse the data, before I had to have enormous Excel Spreadsheets to build models, business cases for projects and reports. Seeq evan allows me to connect to "offline" data like quality results and connect it to process conditions, which helps a lot on more in deph investigations. I also like the support from office hours, because we always find something new to use and a different approach to solve the problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to build graphhics "Excel like" when using condition view, so I could automate reports used during meetings. Today I can build my table view with all the data I need and the condition of intereset, but no way of having charts (bar or pie) , so I need to copy and paste the table from Seeq to Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves a LOT of time, we can quickly get the insights we need without too many clicks.
Powerful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Seeq is fantastic at providing me a way to interact directly with live process data in ways that are intuitive and useful in drawing larger conclusions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seeq doesn't always provide the full flexibility for the visualizations I'm interested in creating - however, their Python-based DataLab platform does provide considerably more flexibility if I'm ever interested in pursuing those more complicated visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring real-time manufacturing data to look for stabilization and optimization opportunities in production.
Very powerfull with time series data
What do you like best about the product?
there are multiple things. I really like the phased approach of building an analysis so you can step by step review the steps taken to come to a certain outcome. I think also the fact that the Journal and Orgniser are in the same package really helps users to remotely access and support eachother bringing their usecases to a success.
What do you dislike about the product?
In our organisation we also work alot with Pi AF. Leveraging Pi event frames is difficult and querying them based on for example template or asset seems not to be easy. This makes that a significant part of our datasources are not being analysed in Seeq.
Another thing I hear in the group is that people in EMEA are always interested in following the webinars provided, but they are almost only given in daytime in the US, because of which many can't attend.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Day to day lean data analytics. Due to the ease of use the people in our continous improvement departments, R&D and maintenance&reliability departments are increasingly using this to facillitate process improvements and doing on the spot rootcause analysis. The feedback given by our users is also that the displaying option provides some unique features of displaying events which are of interest for i.e. daily execution meetings.
Seeq
What do you like best about the product?
Seeq makes it really easy to pull data for quick visual comparison and then delve deeper into data analysis all within the same screen and platform. The prebuilt tools allow first time users to begin doing data anaysis really quickly and help build knowledge for starting to do more complex analysis using the formula tool. The capsule identification and isolation features make it so straightforward and simple to focus on areas critical data sets.
The AI feature is a great addition. My use cases with it have helped me quickly identify what formulas I need with a basic text prompt and also provide the why you use it and different examples of how to utilize the formula. It has sped up my workflow in analysis greatly where I can spend more time interpreting the data than trying to make my formula work.
If support is still needed the open office hours are an amazing tool. I haven't had to utilize it recently with the AI assistant but the ease of signing up and having a knowledgeable person be able to help with figure out what I am trying to accomplish with my data.
My team has adopted utilizing a seeq dashboard in our weekly production meeting to keep important data up to date and visible to the team.
I'm also still finding funtionality like the ability to export to Excel or Powerpoint to be able to use that data in other applications or generate non-seeq familiar user presentations.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I have with Seeq is how the webpage over writes and autosaves. If I journal an early analysis page, continue working and then go back to that first journal, I tend to have a hard time re-locating my later analysis. I think it is more of a personal problem in my workflow and how/when I store the journal pages.
One other issue that I have noticed is the low bar to be productive in seeq has allowed users who may not have as much experience with data analysis pulling and looking at data. We've had a couple of instances of interpreting data incorrectly or missing critical data. This is really user error and not a fault of seeq but important to note to ensure still have verifications on analysis.

Seeq helps to very quickly visualize and analyze data. The speed of being able to define capsules to focus on critical data has help speed up finding production issues as well as respond to process safety or environmental events. The low learning curve and support tools make it easy for the whole team to use seeq which is driving more data driven findings and decisions.
I've come back to old analysis to build onto them once new information is discovered and it is simple to continue on from an old analysis rather than having to re-work a whole excel spreadsheet of data to try to shoehorn new information in.

Data Analytics for the Non-Data Scientist
What do you like best about the product?
SEEQ's bread and butter are the conditions / capsules. The ability to identify and isolate information based on given criteria is intuitive within SEEQ. The ease of use of this ability combined with the ability smooth data signals allows generation of conditions with meaningful information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a deeper dive in the many of the help topics for the formulas and definitions. The most recent example is certainty and uncertainty within SEEQ. I understand the surface level, but data tags such as uncertainty are calculated in the background within SEEQ, and the help information does not guide users to causes / alleviations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEEQ is offering an intelligence and visualization that PI Asset Framework currently cannot. SEEQ addresses the gap of data analytics and data transformation.
