Feeling safe with MCAFEE
What do you like best about the product?
It gives piece of mind - feel secured and I am totally stress free. It provides security for all the devices not just desktops in my office. Weekly schedules does not have any issues like slowing computers. Sometimes I dont see a back ground scanning task running.
What do you dislike about the product?
Malwares sometimes get through our system. I need to go for another software to clean the malwares. McaFee should act on them as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securing my company assets, my software products and its server environments. Benefits like low maintenance, peace of mind, and high customer satisfaction is realized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use MCAFEE Enterprise version to secure your company IT Assets. Its really worthy compared to other systems. Malwares still an issue with McaFee.

Security is the first most priority for McAfee, that's what an user would be concerned all about. And that's just fantastic!!!!!

It's very easy to use and has been in the market for a long time

As with anything I think when you choose an established leader it can be a little more expensive than some of the smaller players.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint security, McAfee takes a good deal of the weight off of our shoulders as far as endpoint security. That allows us to focus on user training for other security issues.

mostly use it for sign it to the end users machine without entering passwords and antivirus.
Not a very good product
What do you like best about the product?
It has virus protection, but that's just about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
This product screws with Windows itself. Sometimes I'll want to open Chrome, but McAfee doesn't allow it. I download a file, and McAfee deleted it, even though it's clean. It also comes with an annoying popup saying Activate when we've purchased it and it is activated. Lastly, it slows down our desktops a LOT. The background scans take up too many resources and we can barely do our work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that we have fixed with this is just students downloading cracked games or virus ridden stuff. Apart from that, it's a terrible piece of software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you lik buggy software that slows your PC down, go ahead. It may have some benefits but to me, the performance hit and the constant annoyances ruin it for me.

It is not the most intrusive and works on multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you run a work group and do not connect for a while it goes haywire when you do.

We used it for multiple OS as a one software security platform. It works on iOS, Windows, and has a handy web based tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you plan to use it make sure it is only networked computers and not machines that will go offline/move around.
Flexible to deploy and easy to use security program. Still tehre are better alternatives available.

We can deploy the mcafee enterprise security manager to both externally as well as on cloud. We have deployed in our client server. Easy to understand and so far no potential threats has been found on our systems.

Not so regular updates available as much a s I beleive but so far I haven't faced any much issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
management, detection and responses are working fine.

Mcafee is easy to deploy and maintain software. We can use it on wide range of servers and for services like idpr and eds we need to pay extra bucks.
