Teamcenter at Siemens Energy
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to version control and manage relationships of data. Integration with NX.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes cumbersome and slow. Performance could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Central management of data and collaboration. Version control and relational models of data.

What do you like best about the product?
Having a central location for the storage of data artifacts a long with the security and control of the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel as though it has a decent learning curve to understand how to use. Also for users that don't use it often it becomes difficult to come back to the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter helps us in the control and access of data. The fact engineers can create engineering artifacts and then using Teamcenter, have the data accessible to downstream users/customers make things very easy and straightforward.
PLM and reach across the lifecycle
What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter's hooks into the industrial operations and Aerospace Design environments are incredibly powerful. The UI once tiled is incredibly smart linkages. The outreach into Application LM and SLM reaching back to the Reqts stage have set itself up to be a leader for quite a while
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial UI unconfigured is not intuitive for a new user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acquisition of Major weapons systems and Sustainment into serving the warfighter

Can be over customized and generate a lot of technical debt.

Sometimes it can be little hard to learn it at first

Integrating with other systems are easy and APIs well documented. Library/API for doing everything required for a customer is available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Help from GTack takes too much time and the process is not smooth.

Fully capable integrated solution for PLM covering most aspects of the lifecycle

Sometimes the products aren't as integrated yet as I would like (but you're working on it)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product CAD and engineering, change management. It benefits us by managing all of the change and effectivity comprehensively.
Teamcenter AWC/EasyPlan
What do you like best about the product?
It has the possibility of a digital thread.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has to be customized for our needs and often has performance issues that affect users on a daily basis. The software is not intuitive and the processes to get tasks done can take a long time compared to other systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It contains the engineering and manufacturing data in one spot that has the possibility of a digital thread to help with configuration control.
Teamcenter integration and Digital Thread Continuity
What do you like best about the product?
TC provides a great method for data storage and configuration management of our 3D models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial learning curve can be steep. Once or twice a week users tend to have a hard time remembering navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter allows us to quickly send the 3D models needed for motion capture to process simulate as a study. This allows for proper collection of various artifacts as well as study revisions.

Highly integrated and well supported. Improved development cycyle.
What do you dislike about the product?
A high learning curve with my company's deployment. We did a "Delta" course which worked well

It so powerful that our company does not have to redsign its PLM approach.
